National Institute of Technology Goa (NIT Goa), under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, has released advertisement number NITG/RECT/CONT/2026/OW/44 for 4 Faculty posts in the Civil Engineering Department. The appointment is purely temporary for a period of 11 months, with a one-month notice for termination on either side. Selection is purely through interview — there is no written test, and the interview will be held in offline mode only. Fresh M.Tech and Ph.D. holders looking to start a teaching career at a centrally funded technical institute can apply.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have a First Class M.Tech or Ph.D. (submitted or awarded) in Civil Engineering.
• Desired Specialisation: All areas of Civil Engineering are welcome — structural, geotechnical, environmental, transportation, water resources, construction management, and others.
• Joining: You must be ready to join immediately and take physical classes as per Institute rules.
• Meeting the essential qualification alone does not guarantee an interview call. NIT Goa may set higher shortlisting criteria based on the number of applications.

Salary

• Candidates with a Master's degree: Rs. 50,000 per month (consolidated)
• Candidates with a Ph.D. Degree: Rs. 70,000 per month (consolidated)
• This is a consolidated monthly pay. No DA, HRA, or other allowances are added on top.

Selection Process

The selection is done purely through an interview:

1. Application Screening: NIT Goa will scrutinise all applications and shortlist candidates based on essential qualification, specialisation, and Institute requirements.
2. Offline Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an offline interview at NIT Goa. Online interviews are not permitted. Timings will be shared by email after scrutiny.

Note: The number of advertised posts is only indicative of existing vacancies. NIT Goa reserves the right to fill, not fill, increase, or decrease the number of posts.
