National Institute of Technology Andhra Pradesh (NITANP), located at Tadepalligudem in West Godavari district, has invited applications for Adhoc Faculty positions purely on a temporary basis for the academic year 2026-27 (vide notification No. NITANP/ODFA/2026-27/386 dated 18 May 2026). Vacancies are open in 8 engineering departments, the School of Sciences, the School of Humanities (English) and the School of Humanities (Management). Who Can Apply?

For Engineering Departments (Civil, Chemical, CSE, EE, ECE, Mechanical, Metallurgical)

• Essential: First Class in both B.Tech/B.E. and M.Tech/M.E. or equivalent in the respective branch of Engineering or allied branches.
• Desirable: Ph.D. in the relevant or equivalent discipline.

For Biotechnology

• First Class in both B.Tech and M.Tech in Biotechnology, OR
• First Class in B.Tech (Chemical Engineering) and M.Tech (Biotechnology/Chemical Engineering), OR
• First Class throughout B.Sc, M.Sc, and M.Tech in Biotechnology.
• Desirable: Ph.D. in the relevant or equivalent discipline.

For School of Sciences (Maths, Physics, Chemistry) and School of Humanities (English)

• First Class in both UG and PG in the relevant discipline AND Ph.D. in the relevant or equivalent discipline.
• Candidates who have submitted their Ph.D thesis are also eligible (treated as equivalent to M.Tech for pay purposes).

For School of Humanities (Management)

• First Class in B.Tech (any branch) and First Class in MBA (Full time), OR
• First Class Bachelor's Degree (any discipline) with First Class in M.Com (Full-time) and First Class in MBA (Full time).
• M.Com is not mandatory if the applicant has a Ph.D in the relevant or equivalent discipline.
• Desirable: Ph.D. in the relevant or equivalent discipline.

Salary

• Consolidated Rs. 70,000 per month for candidates with Ph.D. qualification.
• Consolidated Rs. 55,000 per month for candidates with M.Tech / MBA or equivalent qualification.
• No additional allowances. The engagement is purely temporary.
• Accommodation at the Atidi Guest House or Institute hostel may be provided on a payment basis for up to 3 days at the time of interview, subject to availability.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is based on:

1. Application Screening: The list of shortlisted candidates will be displayed on nitandhra.ac.in tentatively during the third week of June 2026. No separate call letter will be sent.
2. Offline Lecture Demonstration: Shortlisted candidates must attend at the NIT Andhra Pradesh campus in Tadepalligudem.
3. Offline Interview: Conducted in front of a duly constituted Selection Committee on the same day(s).

The decision of the Selection Committee shall be final. Candidates must report with all original documents. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

• Guide students with academic counselling and research-oriented thinking
• Participate in departmental academic activities, workshops and seminars
• Support the department in administrative duties as assigned by the Head of Department
