Mahatma Gandhi Institute for Rural Industrialization (MGIRI) Senior Scientific Officer Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

MGIRI is a national-level institute under the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), located at Wardha, Maharashtra. The institute has released advertisement number MGIRI/SSO/2026-27/01 to fill one post of Senior Scientific Officer (Management & System). There is no written exam — selection is based on shortlisting and a personal interview. This is a permanent post with a two-year probation period.

Who Can Apply?

• Essential Qualification: You must have a Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Application, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Internet of Things, an MBA, or a Master's in Management in any discipline, or an equivalent qualification.
• Experience: You need 5 years of experience in the relevant field after your Master's degree.
• Internship training is not counted as work experience. Only direct work experience, including fixed-term employment, is considered.
• Nationality: Only Indian nationals can apply.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 40 years as on the closing date for receipt of application.
• Age Relaxation: Up to 5 years for eligible Government servants who have rendered at least 3 years of service.
• Ex-Servicemen and Commissioned Officers (including ECOs/SSCOs): Relaxation of 5 years as per rules.

Salary

• Pay Band 3, Rs. 15,600 - 39,100 with Pay Matrix Level 11 (7th CPC).
• Minimum basic pay of Rs. 67,700 per month.
• Plus DA, HRA and other allowances as per Central Government rules.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is done in the following stages:

1. Shortlisting: If many applications are received, MGIRI will shortlist candidates based on higher experience, higher qualification, or other criteria fixed by the screening committee. Extra weightage may be given for working experience, desirable qualification, paper publications, innovations and patents.
2. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must produce original certificates.
3. Personal Interview: Final selection is based on weightage to academic qualification, experience and performance in the interview.
4. Medical Examination: Selected candidates undergo an initial medical check before joining.

• Support the institute's growth and transformation work
