Central University of Haryana (CUH), established under Act No. 25 (2009) of Parliament and located at Jant-Pali, Mahendergarh, has released Employment Notice Advt. No. CUH/01/C/T/2026 dated 08 May 2026 for engaging 2 Assistant Professors on a contractual basis. Online applications are open for Indian Nationals including overseas citizens of India. The selection is based on merit through interview and assessment of teaching or research aptitude.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must meet the qualifications and experience as per the UGC Regulation on Minimum Qualifications for Appointment of Teachers and other Academic Staff in Universities and Colleges and Measures for the Maintenance of Standards in Higher Education, 2018, as amended from time to time, and as per AICTE/NCTE norms as applicable.
• Ph.D. Requirement: You must submit a certificate in the prescribed format (Annexure I & II as applicable) from the concerned University confirming that your Ph.D. degree is in compliance with UGC Regulations for award of the Ph.D. degree.
• Foreign Ph.D. holders: Must enclose an Equivalence Certificate issued by the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi. Without this, the application will be rejected.
• Eligibility date: The date of eligibility is the last date of advertisement (29 May 2026).
• Citizenship: You must be a citizen of India or an overseas citizen of India.

Salary

• Pay Scale: Pay Level 10 of the 7th Pay Commission
• Consolidated salary will be paid as per CUH norms
• The appointment is on a purely contractual basis

Selection Process

The recruitment to the posts of Assistant Professor will be on the basis of merit through all India advertisement and selection by duly constituted Selection Committees. The process includes:

1. Shortlisting/Screening: Applications will be screened as per UGC Regulations 2018 (or AICTE/NCTE norms as applicable). Merely fulfilling minimum qualifications does not entitle you to be called for interview.
2. Seminar/Lecture/Discussion: The University may assess teaching or research aptitude through a seminar, lecture in a classroom situation, or discussion on the use of the latest technology in teaching and research at the interview stage.
3. Interview: Final selection by the Selection Committee constituted by the Competent Authority.
