Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB), Faridabad is hiring 3 Apprentices in Biological Science under the Apprentices Act, 1961. Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB) is an Institution of National Importance set up by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, under the aegis of UNESCO as a Category II Centre. RCB has released Advertisement No. RCB/APPRENTICE/04/2026-27/SD to engage 3 apprenticeship trainees in Biological Science for a one-year training programme at its Faridabad campus under the Apprentices Act, 1961. This is a walk-in interview — there is no online application, so you simply turn up with your documents on the interview date. Only candidates who completed their qualifying degree in 2023, 2024, 2025 or 2026 are eligible, and RCB will not offer any job or absorption once the apprenticeship ends.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Microbiology or an equivalent subject from a recognized university.
• Passing Year: Only candidates who passed their qualifying degree in 2023, 2024, 2025 or 2026 are eligible.
• NATS Registration: You must enroll on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal at nats.education.gov.in before applying.
• Previous Apprenticeship: Candidates who have already completed apprenticeship training at any institute or organization are not eligible.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 28 years old as on 31 July 2026.
• Age Relaxation: Candidates from SC, ST, OBC, PwD and Ex-servicemen categories get age relaxation as per Government of India rules.

Salary

• Selected apprentices will get a stipend of Rs. 13,500 per month for the one-year training period.
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview or at any stage of the selection process.

Selection Process

Selection will be based on:

1. Merit in Qualifying Degree: Your marks in the prescribed qualification will be considered.
2. Interview: Your performance in the walk-in interview will be evaluated.

How to Apply

1. Register yourself on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal at nats.education.gov.in.
2. Confirm your attendance by email to apprentice@rcb.res.in before 5 August 2026.
3. Carry your original mark sheets, degree certificates, Aadhaar card, latest resume, four passport-size photographs and one set of self-attested photocopies of all documents.
4. Report at the Reception, RCB, NCR Biotech Science Cluster, 3rd Milestone, Faridabad-Gurugram Expressway, Faridabad, Haryana - 121001 on 7 August 2026 between 10:30 AM and 1:00 PM.

• Assist RCB scientists with laboratory experiments in biological sciences
• Handle basic lab equipment and biological samples under supervision

• Support ongoing research projects at the centre
• Learn and apply standard laboratory techniques during the training period
