DLL Goa Technician Electronics Recruitment 2026: Overview

The Directorate of Lighthouses and Lightships (DLL), Goa, which works under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, is hiring a Technician (Electronics) through Employment Notice No. 02/2026. This is a regular central government post based at Deep Bhavan, Bambolim in North Goa, where you keep the navigation aids at the directorate and its lighthouses in working order. The vacancy is earmarked for the EWS category only, so you need a valid Income and Asset Certificate before you apply.

The job suits a diploma holder in electronics who has already spent time installing and servicing wireless transmitters, receivers, aerial systems and their power plants. Hands-on work with microwave equipment gives you an edge, and the technical paper also covers lighthouse kit such as marine lanterns, racons, DGPS, AIS and solar power plants.

Service Conditions and Caveats

  • EWS-only vacancy: Your Income and Asset Certificate must follow the Annexure-IV format, be valid for FY 2026-27 and be based on FY 2025-26 income, as per DoPT OM No. 36039/1/2019-Estt (Res).
  • PwD candidates: The post is not reserved for persons with disabilities, but it is identified as suitable for them, so you can apply with a disability certificate from the competent authority.
  • Transfer liability: You can be posted at the directorate or any lighthouse station, including remote and island locations, and transferred anywhere in India, including Andaman and Nicobar and Lakshadweep.
  • Trade test: The trade test after the written exam is qualifying only; the final merit follows your written exam score.
  • Travel costs: No TA is paid for the written exam, trade test or document verification, except fare reimbursement for unemployed SC and ST candidates under the rules.
  • Appointment: The offer is provisional and depends on your medical fitness, final verification of certificates and a character check.
  • Results awaited: If you are still waiting for your final diploma result, you cannot apply — the qualification must be in hand by the closing date.
  • Exam centre: The centre printed on your admit card is final and will not be changed.
  • Legal jurisdiction: Any dispute about this notice falls under courts in Goa only.

Application Submission Notes

This is an offline-only application. Download the Annexure-I form from dgll.nic.in or ncs.gov.in, fill it in your own handwriting with a blue or black ball-point pen, add your left thumb impression and sign in running hand — signatures in capital or spaced-out letters make the form invalid.

Send it by speed post or registered post to The Director, Directorate of Lighthouses and Lightships, Deep Bhavan, Near GMC Stadium, Bambolim, North Goa, Goa 403202. Write "Application for the post of Technician (Electronics)" and "Employment Notice No. 02/2026" on the envelope.

  • One form per envelope: two applications in one envelope, or two applications for the same post, are rejected.
  • Photograph: paste a recent colour photo (3.5 cm x 3.5 cm) and attach one extra identical copy with your name and category written on the back.
  • Stitch, do not post separately: stitch all enclosures to the form in the listed order; papers sent separately are ignored.
  • Government employees: apply through proper channel, or send the form directly with an NOC from your employer — an advance copy without NOC is not accepted.
  • Language: enclosures must be in English or Hindi; attach a self-attested translation of any other certificate.

The directorate is not responsible for postal delays, so post your form well before the closing date.
