National Brain Research Centre (NBRC), Manesar, has released Advertisement No. Acad./08/2026 for 1 Research Assistant-III position, hired on contract through a manpower agency, for a project titled "Neuroanatomical Studies to Elucidate the Development of the Human Auditory Cortex." The project is led by Prof. Soumya Iyengar (Scientist-VII), and the initial tenure is 6 months, extendable up to a year depending on your performance review and the project's funding availability. Candidates with hands-on experience in histology, immunohistochemistry, and confocal microscopy will be preferred for this specialised neuroscience research role.

National Brain Research Centre, Manesar, is India's only research institute dedicated exclusively to brain and neuroscience research, and it regularly hires Research Assistants and Research Associates for individual government-funded research projects. This Research Assistant-III role gives you the chance to work directly on human auditory cortex development, using the same imaging and tissue reconstruction techniques used in leading neuroscience labs.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection for this post is done through:

1. Interview: Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. You must attach self-attested copies of your qualification and experience certificates, or your application will be rejected without any intimation.

Since this is a specialised neuroscience research role, expect the interview to focus on your hands-on experience with tissue processing, immunostaining, and microscopy techniques relevant to brain research, along with your understanding of the auditory cortex and neuroanatomy in general.
