The Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA), Manesar is an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India, working to advance research, training, and policy in the field of Corporate Affairs. The Institute has released a vacancy circular for 3 contractual positions - two Senior Research Associates (one each for the Centre For Independent Directors and the School of Competition Law & Market Regulation) and one Consultant (Assistant Librarian) for the Knowledge Resource Centre. There is no written exam - selection is through screening followed by a presentation and/or interview. This is a solid opportunity for experienced professionals in management, law, economics, or library science who want to work with a Government think tank.

IICA offers knowledge and professional training through five Schools and eleven Centres, covering areas like Independent Directors, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Business and Human Rights, MSMEs, valuation and financial reporting, insolvency and bankruptcy, and competition law. The Institute also provides in-service training for Central Services officers and builds the capacity of public and private sector executives and board leaders. Spread across a 14-acre campus in Manesar, IICA has residential blocks, hostel facilities, a well-stocked library, and an in-house auditorium.

Who Can Apply?

All applicants must be Indian citizens. Eligibility depends on which post you apply for:

Senior Research Associate - Partnership & Promotion:

• Master's Degree in Management / Marketing / Commerce / Economics / Finance / CS / CA / CFA
• Minimum 3 years' work experience, including 2 years on partnership or collaboration-related activities
• Strong communication skills and experience organizing seminars, workshops, and advocacy events

Senior Research Associate - Competition Law & Market Regulation:

• A degree in Law, or a Master's Degree in Law / Economics / Business Administration
• Minimum 3 years' relevant experience in academics/economics, research, teaching, or content development in Competition Law
• Prior experience with Government organisations, chambers of commerce, or think tanks is preferred

Consultant - Assistant Librarian:

• Post Graduate degree along with a Master's in Library Science or equivalent
• Sound knowledge of computer skills, open-source software, and library management tools (Mendeley, Zotero, Dspace, Koha etc.)
• Minimum 5 years' experience organizing and managing library activities in an academic, corporate, or research institution

Age Limit

• You should be up to 63 years old as on the closing date of the advertisement, for all 3 posts.
• Age Relaxation: The age condition may be relaxed for exceptional candidates at the Institute's discretion.

Salary

• Senior Research Associate (both posts): Rs. 75,000 per month (consolidated)
• Consultant - Assistant Librarian: Rs. 40,000 per month (consolidated)
• No other allowances like DA, HRA, TA, or LTC are admissible - this is a fixed consolidated pay.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is done in the following stages:

1. Screening: Applications are checked against the minimum qualification and experience for the post applied for.
2. Presentation and/or Interview: Shortlisted candidates present before the Selection Committee at IICA Campus, Manesar, or via video conference.
3. Medical Fitness Check: Selected candidates must be of sound health and may need to undergo a medical examination.

Mere fulfilment of the eligibility criteria does not guarantee a call for interview. No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview.

If selected, you will need to sign an Employment Contract and join immediately. The initial engagement is for one year, which may be extended or curtailed based on your performance and the Institute's requirement. The role is full-time, and you will need to be available on all working days, including holidays if required. Either side can end the contract by giving two months' notice, or two months' consolidated pay in lieu of notice.
