CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (CSIR-IIIM), Jammu is a premier research institute working under the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), an autonomous body under the Department of Scientific & Industrial Research (DSIR), Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. Through Project Advertisement No. 25/2026 dated 10 August 2026, the institute is hiring 1 Senior Project Assistant for the ICMR Extramural Grant Project GAP-3177 on "Pharmacological targeting of Adiponectin receptor in obesity-associated decline in energy metabolism and insulin sensitivity". The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project, which currently runs until 7 January 2028 — the engagement can be extended based on project needs and your performance, though your total tenure across all CSIR labs cannot exceed five years. Candidates with a background in computational biology or pharmacoinformatics who want research exposure in drug discovery should apply.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: M.Sc. or B.Tech in Bio-informatics, Chemo-informatics or Pharmacoinformatics from a recognised university, or an equivalent degree.
• Desirable: Research experience in computational drug discovery. Knowledge of AI/ML tools is an added advantage.
• NOC Requirement: If you are already working on a CSIR-IIIM project, you must get a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from your current office before applying for this position.

Age Limit

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a consolidated stipend of Rs. 30,600 per month.
• This is a fixed, consolidated amount — the project does not pay separate DA, HRA or other allowances for this post.

Selection Process

The institute will select candidates through the following stage(s):

1. Screening (if required): A written test may be held first if a large number of candidates apply.
2. Interview: Held online through MS Teams. You can answer in English or Hindi.
3. Document Verification: Your original certificates for qualification, date of birth, caste and age relaxation will be checked after selection — any mismatch will cancel your candidature.
