Service Conditions and Caveats

• Initial term: You will be engaged for one year or until the project ends, whichever comes first. The current project runs until 23 March 2028.
• Changes to tenure: The institute may extend or shorten your engagement based on project needs and your performance or conduct.
• Overall service limit: Your combined project engagement across CSIR laboratories cannot exceed six years. The appointment ends with the project.
• Performance reviews: Your work will be reviewed periodically. Unsatisfactory performance can lead to termination without prior notice or a stated reason.
• Temporary appointment: Working on this sponsor-supported project gives you no claim to absorption into a CSIR-IIIM or CSIR post.
• Current project staff: If you already work on a CSIR-IIIM project, you need an office-issued No Objection Certificate before applying for another vacancy.
• Interaction language: You can speak in English or Hindi before the committee.
• Funding condition: The institute will issue the engagement offer only after it receives project funds.
