Service Conditions and Caveats

• Project-linked tenure: Your engagement ends with the project. The current project sanction runs to 31 March 2027, and any continuation depends on both the project continuing and your work remaining satisfactory.
• Overall tenure limit: Engagement across all CSIR laboratories counts towards a six-year maximum. Previous CSIR project service therefore matters when the institute considers the period you can serve.
• Performance review: The institute will review your work from time to time. Unsatisfactory performance can lead to termination without advance notice or a stated reason.
• No permanent appointment claim: These posts are funded for the sponsor's project. Taking up a post does not give you a right to permanent absorption in CSIR-IIIM or another CSIR post.
• Current project staff: If you already work on a CSIR-IIIM project, the office must issue permission before your candidature for a new vacancy can be considered.
• Changing project needs: The institute may change the openings to match project needs at the interview. The Director can also decide not to fill some or all advertised positions.
• Travel costs: You must make your own travel arrangements. The institute will not pay travel or daily allowance for attending.
• Conduct and interpretation: Trying to influence the recruitment can disqualify you. If the Hindi and English versions differ, the notice says the English version takes priority.
