Who Can Apply?

For 72nd Integrated CCE (Most Posts):

  • Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognised University or equivalent.

Special Qualifications for Specific Posts:

  • Child Development Project Officer: Bachelor's degree + must select one of these as optional subject in Mains: Home Science, Psychology, Sociology, Labour & Social Welfare.
  • Financial Administrative Officer & Equivalent: Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Economics, Mathematics or Statistics.
  • Sub-Divisional Welfare Officer: Bachelor's degree + must select Psychology or Law as optional subject in Mains.

Reservation benefit will be given only to original residents (domicile) of Bihar. Candidates from outside Bihar will be treated as Unreserved.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in 3 stages:

  1. Preliminary Examination (Part-1): Single objective paper of 150 marks, duration 2 hours, on General Studies. Negative marking of 1/3 mark per wrong answer. Candidates who do not attempt a question must mark option (E). Qualifying minimum: 40% (UR), 36.5% (BC), 34% (EBC), 32% (SC/ST/Women/PwBD). Candidates equal to 10 times the vacancies qualify for the Mains.
  2. Main Written Examination (Part-2): 4 papers — General Hindi (100 marks, qualifying 30%), General Studies Paper-I (300 marks), General Studies Paper-II (300 marks) and Essay (300 marks). For CDPO/FAO/SDWO: an additional Optional Subject Paper of 300 marks. Each paper of 3 hours duration.
  3. Personality Test (Interview): 120 marks. Candidates equal to 2.5 times the vacancies are called.

Final merit is based on Mains (900 marks) + Interview (120 marks) = 1020 marks total. Medical examination of Rs. 16/- is mandatory for shortlisted candidates after the personality test.

  3. Fill your name, father's name, mother's name, gender, date of birth and Aadhaar number — these cannot be changed later.
  4. Login to the dashboard using your mobile number / email ID and password.
  5. Click on the 72nd CCE Application Form and fill all required details.
  6. Upload scanned PDF of all certificates (Matriculation, Graduation, caste/EWS/PwBD certificates) — max 100 KB each.
  7. Upload scanned signature in JPG/JPEG, max 15 KB, dimensions 220x100 pixels.
  8. Pay the fee online (Rs. 100 + Rs. 200 biometric fee if Aadhaar not provided).
  9. Submit and download a printout for your records. Hard copies need NOT be sent to BPSC.

Responsibilities

  • Handle revenue administration, land records, and demarcation work as a Revenue Officer or SDM
  • Manage law and order, supervise police stations, and lead investigations as a Deputy Superintendent of Police
  • Coordinate rural development schemes (MGNREGA, PMAY-G, NRLM) and panchayat administration as a Block Development Officer
  • Implement state government policies and welfare schemes at sub-division and block level
  • Conduct enquiries, hold hearings, and pass quasi-judicial orders within delegated powers
  • Supervise subordinate staff, manage office establishment, and maintain government records
  • Represent the state government in inter-departmental meetings and public hearings
  • Handle disaster management, election duties, and law-and-order responsibilities when assigned

The BPSC 72nd Integrated CCE has 3 stages: Preliminary Exam, Main Written Exam and Personality Test.

Stage 1: Preliminary Examination (Objective)

  • Question Type: Multiple Choice with 5 options (A, B, C, D, E)
  • Negative Marking: 1/3 mark deducted per wrong or unanswered (without option E) question
