NIPER Hajipur — an autonomous institute of national importance under the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers — has released a notification for 2 project posts under the ICMR-sponsored project “First in the World Challenge: A Nasal Spray Formula for Pulmonary Delivery to Control Multidrug-Resistant Tuberculosis (MDR-TB)”. The project runs in collaboration with ICMR-NIRT, Chennai, so selected candidates should be ready to work at both NIPER Hajipur and Chennai depending on project needs. No written exam — selection is through a direct interview.

Who Can Apply?

For Project Research Scientist-I (Rs. 56,000/month):

• You need a postgraduate degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences or Biotechnology.
• Desirable: PhD thesis submitted in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Biotechnology or an equivalent discipline.
• Preference goes to candidates with at least 1 year of research experience in protein isolation from mammalian/bacterial samples, LC-MS-based omics studies, and characterization.

For Project Technical Support-III (Rs. 28,000/month):

• 12th in Science + Diploma (MLT/DMLT) + 5 years of experience in a medical/research laboratory, OR
• Three-year graduate degree in Life Sciences + 2 years of lab experience, OR
• Postgraduate degree in Life Sciences — no professional experience required.
• Desirable: Experience in in vitro anti-TB assays, cell culture handling, and in vivo animal experiments, preferably with knowledge of handling Mycobacterium tuberculosis cultures.

Your qualification for either post must be from a recognized Board, University or Institute.

Age Limit

• Project Research Scientist-I: You should be up to 35 years old on the date of application.
• Project Technical Support-III: You should be up to 30 years old on the date of application.
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST/OBC candidates get relaxation as per Central Government norms.

Salary

• Project Research Scientist-I: Rs. 56,000 per month + 10% HRA.
• Project Technical Support-III: Rs. 28,000 per month + 10% HRA.
• The appointment is for 1 year initially and is co-terminus with the project.

The selection will be done through:
