Advanced Weapons and Equipment India Limited (AWEIL) is a Scheduled 'A' Defence Public Sector Undertaking under the Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence, incorporated in August 2021. It is primarily engaged in the manufacture and supply of weapon systems, small arms, tank gun articles and ammunition components, and runs eight production units spread across various states in India. AWEIL has now released a notification (Advt. No. AWEIL/10/2026) for 9 Executive Finance posts. The posts are reserved as UR-3, SC-2, ST-1, OBC-2 and EWS-1. The appointment is on a full-time contract basis for 3 years, renewable each year based on performance, and selected candidates will be posted at AWEIL's Corporate HQ in Kanpur or at any of its units in Kanpur, Jabalpur, Korwa, Kolkata or Tiruchirappalli. Your day-to-day work will cover areas like bookkeeping, billing, payroll, taxation, budgeting and treasury management across AWEIL's finance function. This is a good opportunity for practicing or newly qualified Chartered Accountants and Cost Accountants looking for a stable role in a defence public sector company.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must be a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) from ICAI or a Cost & Management Accountant (CMA) from ICMAI, holding associate or fellow membership of ICAI or ICMAI.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience, excluding your articleship period (counted from the date of your final exam), reckoned as on the last date of receipt of application.
• Nationality: You must be an Indian national.
• If you are currently employed, you must route your application through your present employer, otherwise it will not be considered.
• If you furnish incorrect or false information, or your certificates turn out to be false at any stage — even after joining — your candidature or employment will be cancelled or terminated without notice.
• New Labour Codes will apply to newly engaged contract employees.

Age Limit

• You should not be older than 35 years as on the last date of receipt of application.
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST candidates get 5 years relaxation, OBC candidates get 3 years relaxation, and PwD candidates get 10 years relaxation over the upper age limit.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a consolidated monthly pay of Rs. 90,000 (fixed).
• Your pay will be enhanced by 10% every year. No other allowances are admissible.
• You may need to work on Saturdays (for HQ staff) or other holidays as per office requirements, without extra compensation.
• You will get 12 days of casual leave, credited on a pro-rata basis of one day per month, which can also be availed as half-day leave.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

The selection is done purely through an interview:

1. Shortlisting for Interview: Candidates are shortlisted in a ratio of 1:10 (10 candidates per vacancy). The order of preference is: (a) CAs are given preference over CMAs; (b) where experience is essential, candidates are sorted by total experience acquired; (c) where experience is not mandatory, candidates are sorted by marks obtained in the qualifying exam; and (d) any specific preference mentioned by the candidate may also be considered.
2. Interview: A duly constituted selection committee conducts the interview and prepares the final merit list.

AWEIL reserves the right to change the shortlisting criteria if a justified reason exists, with approval from the CMD.
