Tata Memorial Centre (TMC), a grant-in-aid institution under the Department of Atomic Energy, is hiring a Dental Hygienist on contract for its Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC) campus in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai. The post is outsourced through the manpower agency A1 Facility and Property Managers Pvt. Ltd. and supports dental care for patients at the cancer research and treatment centre. ACTREC is one of several specialised units under the wider TMC network, which also runs Tata Memorial Hospital in Parel and regional cancer centres in cities like Varanasi, Muzaffarpur, Sangrur and Visakhapatnam. Freshers with the right diploma can apply too — prior experience only helps you land a better starting salary within the given range.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Engagement type: This is an outsourced, contract-based role placed through the manpower agency, not a direct TMC appointment.
• Duration: The initial engagement runs for six months and may be extended depending on requirement at ACTREC.
• Registration: You must be registered with the Maharashtra State Dental Council or the Dental Council of India, Delhi, to be considered for this post.
• Age relaxation: The standard age limit can be relaxed over and above the eligibility criteria for candidates who bring relevant experience.

• Perform oral prophylaxis and preventive dental cleaning procedures for patients
• Assist dental surgeons during examinations and minor dental procedures
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Sterilize dental instruments and maintain infection control standards
• Maintain patient dental records and treatment charts
• Support screening and early detection of oral health issues in cancer patients
• Coordinate with the dental and oncology teams for patient referrals
