Nagaland University Project Associate-I Recruitment 2026 - 2 Posts

Nagaland University, a Central University set up under Act No. 35 of 1989, is recruiting for its DBT (Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology) sponsored research project titled "Characterizing Populations of Homalomena aromatica and Gaultheria fragrantissima in North-Eastern India into Elite Chemotypes and Developing Gene Markers for Essential Oil Content and Major Constituent". The project is coordinated by Dr. Chitta Ranjan Deb, Senior Professor in the Department of Botany. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in biochemical analysis of medicinal plants and plant tissue culture, so if you have worked in a plant biochemistry or tissue culture lab before, this role suits you well.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: First class M.Sc. or M.Tech degree in Botany, Life Sciences, or Biotechnology from any UGC recognized University.
• Preferred: Experience in Biochemical Analysis of Medicinal Plants and Plant Tissue Culture.
• Fellowship: Paid as per the rules of the funding agency (DBT). The exact amount is not mentioned in the notice.
