KRCL, a Miniratna Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Railways, has released Notification No. CO/P-R/12C/2026 for 40 posts across 11 trades — Junior and Senior Technical Assistants (Manufacturing & Maintenance, Civil), Safety Officer, EOT/Fork Lift/Tug Operator, Technician (Fitter), CNC Machine Operator, Non-destructive Testing Technician, Fitter-Mechatronics Maintenance, and Technician (Welder) — all posted at the Rolling Stock Component Factory (RSCF), Lote, Ratnagiri. These are fixed-term contract posts for one year, extendable based on performance and project requirement, and are open to both engineering degree/diploma holders and ITI-trade certificate holders depending on the post.

Who Can Apply?

For Junior/Senior Technical Assistant (Manufacturing & Maintenance):

• Full-time Degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Production, Production & Industrial Engineering, Automobile, Mechatronics, Material Science or Metallurgical Engineering from an AICTE-recognized institute
• Junior grade needs 1 year of post-qualification experience; Senior grade needs 2 years

For Junior/Senior Technical Assistant (Civil):

• Full-time Degree/Diploma in Civil or Construction Engineering from an AICTE-recognized institute
• Junior grade needs 1 year of experience in civil/utility maintenance; Senior grade needs 3 years

For Safety Officer:

• Diploma in Industrial Safety recognized by the Central or State Government, plus a Degree/Diploma in Engineering or Science (Physics/Chemistry)
• 1 year of post-qualification experience is desirable

For EOT / Fork Lift / Tug Operator:

• 10th Pass (compulsory) or ITI certificate from a recognized institute
• 2 years of EOT crane operation experience for ITI holders, or 4 years for 10th Pass candidates

For Technician (Fitter), CNC Machine Operator, Fitter-Mechatronics Maintenance, Non-destructive Testing Technician, Technician (Welder):

• ITI Certificate in the relevant trade (Fitter, Machinist, Electronics/Mechatronics, Welder, or an NDT-related trade), or a Degree/Diploma in a related engineering discipline for the NDT Technician post
• 1 to 3 years of relevant trade experience depending on the post — preference goes to candidates with Railway workshop or manufacturing sector experience

Age Limit

• You should not be older than 40 years as on 01 July 2026 for most posts (Technician (Welder) uses 30 June 2026 as the reference date).
• Age Relaxation: 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates, 5 years for SC/ST candidates. Relaxation for Ex-servicemen is at KRCL's discretion.

Salary

• Senior Technical Assistant (Maintenance/Civil): Consolidated pay of Rs. 50,060 to Rs. 57,140 per month (Basic Rs. 22,405 + DA Rs. 12,995), depending on the city classification of your posting
• Junior Technical Assistant / Safety Officer: Consolidated pay of Rs. 41,380 to Rs. 47,220 per month (Basic Rs. 18,481 + DA Rs. 10,719)
• EOT/Fork Lift/Tug Operator, Technician (Fitter), CNC Machine Operator, NDT Technician, Fitter-Mechatronics, Technician (Welder): Consolidated pay of Rs. 35,500 to Rs. 40,500 per month (Basic Rs. 15,823 + DA Rs. 9,177)
• The consolidated pay includes Basic, DA, HRA, Conveyance and Mobile Allowance, and increases by 4% every year based on your performance and KRCL's requirement.

Selection Process (No Fixed Written Exam)

Selection is mainly through a walk-in interview:

1. Document Screening: Your documents are checked when you register at the walk-in venue.
2. Group Discussion or Written Test (if required): KRCL may introduce an elimination round depending on the number of candidates.
3. Personal Interview: A nominated committee interviews shortlisted candidates.
4. Merit List: Final selection is based on your interview performance, qualification, and post-qualification experience.
5. Medical Examination: Selected candidates must clear a medical fitness test before joining.

You may also need to demonstrate your practical skills for technician/operator posts, if KRCL feels it necessary.

2. Fill in the form completely and attach one set of self-attested copies of your certificates (qualification, age proof, caste certificate, experience certificate, photographs).
3. Report directly for the walk-in interview at Kajali Club, Near RRM Office, Ratnagiri, Maharashtra on your post's scheduled date.
4. Register between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM on the day of the interview, carrying all original certificates for verification.
5. Be ready to stay for a minimum of 2 days at your own cost, if required — KRCL does not pay travel or daily allowance for the interview.

• Operate and maintain CNC machines, EOT cranes, forklifts or welding equipment as per your assigned trade
• Support production and maintenance of LHB/ICF bogies and wheel sets at the Rolling Stock Component Factory
• Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of shop machinery and civil infrastructure
• Maintain safety standards, proper use of PPE, and safety records on the shop floor
• Record and analyze production, maintenance and failure-related data
• Coordinate with the Assistant Mechanical Engineer/RSCF team on daily shop-floor operations
• Troubleshoot machines and assist OEM teams during annual maintenance contracts
• Follow RDSO guidelines and quality protocols applicable to your trade
