Dr. Balasaheb Sawant Konkan Krishi Vidyapeeth (DBSKKV) is hiring Fisheries Assistants through its Fisheries Engineering Polytechnic at Shirgaon, Ratnagiri. The role supports the project on interactions between endangered, threatened and protected species and purse-seine fisheries targeting small pelagic resources along the Maharashtra coast. The appointment is connected to a defined university project rather than the regular establishment. You may be placed at different locations within the university's jurisdiction where the scheme is running, which means the work may extend beyond the Shirgaon campus. Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: The engagement is for 11 months, or a shorter period if the project ends earlier. It does not create a right to continued service or a regular university appointment.
• Undertaking: The selected person must give an undertaking on stamp paper agreeing not to leave during the appointment period.
• Early exit: If you want to leave, you must give one month's advance notice; otherwise, one month's pay must be surrendered.
• Working schedule: Normal office hours are 09:00 to 17:30, but project needs may require extra hours or holiday work without an additional payment.
• Interview travel: You must attend at your own expense because the university will not pay TA or DA.
• Conduct: Unsatisfactory work, misconduct or political participation can lead to cancellation of candidature or the engagement.
