KRCL Multi-Post Recruitment 2026: Overview

Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL), a public-sector undertaking under the Ministry of Railways, is building a contract team for the Project Development and Monitoring Cell in its Signal and Telecommunication Department. The notice brings together project leadership, engineering drawing, site-technical and rest-house support work for KRCL projects. The mix of roles is unusually broad, so experienced railway engineers, trade-trained technicians and candidates with institutional cooking experience can all find a relevant opening.

These appointments support KRCL project sites outside the USBRL Project. You may be sent or transferred to a project location anywhere the corporation needs you, and the work can involve site deadlines, safety responsibilities and emergency calls. The posts are part of a fixed-term project workforce, not KRCL's regular establishment.

Posts and Disciplines

• Deputy General Manager S&T: senior technical and contract leadership covering signal and telecom construction, quality, expenditure and project delivery.
• Senior Project Manager S&T: supervision of installation, testing, commissioning, contract work and safety across railway or metro projects.
• Project Engineer S&T AutoCAD: preparation and control of signalling drawings, completion diagrams and related sanction documents.
• Senior Technician: site execution and supervision for wiring, termination, cable laying, signalling equipment and commissioning.
• Technician: hands-on signal and telecom installation, testing, site documentation and quality support.
• Cook: multi-cuisine meal preparation, kitchen hygiene, purchasing, expense records and caretaker support for a KRCL rest house.

Post-wise Duties

Management and Engineering Posts

You will plan and supervise signal and telecom project work, check drawings and contract requirements, track progress, control records and protect work-site safety. The AutoCAD role concentrates on technical drawings and completion documents, while the management posts also handle quality assurance, meetings, claims and contract bills.

Technical Posts

You will carry out or supervise wiring, termination, installation, testing and commissioning at railway or metro project sites. You also need to understand working drawings, keep daily reports and follow the applicable safety rules.

Cook

You will prepare varied meals for small groups, maintain a clean and organised kitchen, buy supplies and keep purchase and meal records. The post also includes rest-house caretaker work such as room upkeep, linen changes, keys and visitor records.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Mobility: You can be posted or transferred to any KRCL project site during the contract.
• Tenure: An extension depends on satisfactory performance, mutual consent and KRCL's continuing need; the engagement does not create a right to permanent absorption.
• Bond: Selected candidates sign an indemnity bond before joining to cover failure to meet contractual duties or loss caused during service.
• Notice period: Either side can end the contract with one month's notice or payment in place of notice.
• Working conditions: No accommodation, food or mess allowance is provided, and extra hours during urgent project work do not attract separate overtime.
• Medical fitness: You must pass KRCL's prescribed medical examination before the contract is signed.
