Who Can Apply?

• You must have passed 10+2 or an equivalent examination from a board or university recognized by the Himachal Pradesh government.
• You need shorthand speed of 80 WPM in English and 70 WPM in Hindi.
• You need typewriting speed of 40 WPM in English and 30 WPM in Hindi on computers.

Field Assistant Gr-I / S-1:

Common Requirement (both posts):

• You must have passed both Matriculation and 10+2 from a school situated within Himachal Pradesh. This condition does not apply if you are a Bonafide Himachali.
• Your eligibility for qualification and experience is checked as on the closing date, 20 August 2026.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 45 years old, counted as on 1 January 2026.
• Age Relaxation: Bonafide SC/ST/OBC candidates and Persons with Disabilities of Himachal Pradesh get a 5-year relaxation in the upper age limit.
• HP Government employees and Ex-Servicemen of HP get age relaxation as per the government's standing instructions.

Salary

• Junior Scale Stenographer gets a fixed consolidated pay of Rs. 17,500 per month.
• Field Assistant Gr-I gets a fixed consolidated pay of Rs. 15,500 per month.
• Both posts are on a Job Trainee basis — this is a consolidated amount, not a regular pay scale.

Selection Process

YSPUHF selects Job Trainees in multiple stages:

1. Written Objective Type Examination: Conducted for these posts; the mode and pattern is at the University's discretion.
2. Typing Test / Shorthand Test / Practical Test: A qualifying test for candidates who clear the written exam, wherever applicable.
3. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates (by category-wise merit) must bring original certificates for verification.

This recruitment is governed by the Himachal Pradesh Department of Personnel's guidelines dated 19 July 2025, further notified by the University on 30 August 2025.
