If you had applied against the earlier Advertisement No. Rectt.-26/2022 for the same or a similar post, you must apply fresh under this advertisement and submit a new hard copy, though you can log in with your existing ID and password to claim fee exemption. Who Can Apply?

• You need a Master's Degree in the relevant subject along with NET/SLET/SET qualification, or a Ph.D. awarded as per UGC Regulations 2018.

For Computer Science/IT Posts at UIT:

• You need a Master's Degree in the relevant subject with NET/SLET/SET or Ph.D., as prescribed under AICTE Regulations 2019.

A Screening Committee checks every application against these qualification and experience norms before shortlisting. Incomplete applications, or applications without documents supporting your claims of eligibility, category and qualification, will be rejected summarily and no correspondence will be entertained on this. Salary

• Selected candidates will get a salary of Rs. 57,700 to Rs. 1,82,400 per month under Academic Level 10 of the pay matrix.
• You will also get DA, HRA and other allowances as per Himachal Pradesh Government and UGC norms.

• General category, including General Physically Disabled and dependents of HP Ex-servicemen: Rs. 2,000
• EWS / SC / ST / OBC / BPL of Himachal Pradesh: Rs. 1,000
• Ex-Servicemen of Himachal Pradesh (relieved after full tenure) and Visually Impaired of HP: No Fee
• Payment mode: Online, through debit card, credit card, UPI or internet banking.
• Application fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Selection Process

The selection for these posts is done in the following stages:

1. Screening of Applications: A duly constituted Screening Committee checks each application for completeness and eligibility. Applications without supporting documents are rejected without further correspondence.
2. Academic Score Evaluation: Your Academic Score is worked out as per the UGC Regulations 2018 Tally Sheet (Appendix-II, Table 3-A).
3. Interview: You are called for interview in merit order of your Academic Score. For one vacancy, up to 25 candidates are invited; for every extra vacancy, 15 more candidates are added to the list. An interview is held only if at least 5 eligible applications are received and 3 shortlisted candidates report (for a single vacancy), or at least 7 eligible applications with 5 shortlisted candidates reporting (for more than one vacancy). You need 50% marks in the interview (45% if you belong to a reserved category) to be considered in the final merit list.
4. Document Verification

If a subject or reserved category sees very few qualified applicants, the Vice-Chancellor may relax the shortlisting criteria above so that enough candidates can be called for interview.
