AIIMS Bilaspur SR Recruitment 2026 — 69 Vacancies

AIIMS Bilaspur is recruiting 69 Senior Residents (Non-Academic) across broad and super specialties in Himachal Pradesh. Medical applicants need a relevant MD/MS/DNB and valid medical registration, while specified non-medical applicants need an M.Sc./M.Biotech with Ph.D.. All India Institute of Medical Sciences Bilaspur (AIIMS Bilaspur), an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, has announced 42 broad-specialty and 27 super-specialty seats. The appointments carry a defined residency tenure: three years for broad specialties and two years for super specialties, subject to the total residency already completed by you. No online interview or online application form is offered; selection takes place in person at Kothipura.

• Broad Specialties: 42 posts across Anesthesia, Anatomy, Biochemistry, CMF, Dermatology, General Medicine, General Surgery, Hospital Administration, Microbiology, Nuclear Medicine, Pathology, Orthopedics, Pediatrics, Physiology, Psychiatry, Radiology, Radiotherapy, Transfusion Medicine and Trauma & Emergency.
• Broad-specialty category split: UR 13, OBC 17, SC 5, ST 3 and EWS 4.
• Super Specialties: 27 posts across Burns & Plastic Surgery, Cardiology, CTVS, Critical Care, Endocrinology, Gynae Oncology, Medical Oncology, Neonatology, Nephrology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Pediatric Critical Care, Pediatric Surgery, Pulmonary Medicine, Rheumatology & Clinical Immunology, Surgical Oncology and Urology.
• Super-specialty category split: UR 15, OBC 6, SC 4 and ST 2.
• PwBD reservation: 4% horizontal reservation applies to identified non-surgical Senior Resident work.

If an EWS seat remains unfilled, the notice allows it to move to UR. A UR applicant may also be considered against an unfilled reserved seat, but that engagement is limited to 44 days when no suitable reserved-category applicant is available.

Who Can Apply?

Medical Applicants

• Medical qualification: You must hold a qualification covered by the applicable medical council law.
• Postgraduate degree: You need an MD, MS or DNB in the relevant specialty, or an accepted equivalent qualification.
• Registration: Your Central or State Medical Council registration must be valid.
• Qualification date: Your pass certificate must be available by 21 August 2026.

Applicants for Related Super Specialties

• Medicine route: MD/DNB General Medicine is accepted for Cardiology, Medical Gastroenterology, Medical Oncology and Nephrology.
• Surgery route: MS/DNB General Surgery is accepted for Burns & Plastic Surgery and several surgical super specialties, including CTVS, Neurosurgery, Surgical Oncology and Urology.
• Other routes: The notice specifies Pediatrics for Neonatology, and Medicine, Surgery, allied subjects or Orthopedics for Trauma & Emergency.

Specified Non-Medical Applicants

• Anatomy, Biochemistry and Pharmacology: You need an M.Sc. or M.Biotech in the subject plus a Ph.D. in the subject or an allied area.
• Clinical Immunology: An M.Sc./M.Biotech plus relevant Ph.D. is accepted, preferably with immunology or rheumatology work.
• Endocrinology: An M.Sc. in Biochemistry/Biotechnology plus a relevant Ph.D. is accepted, preferably in endocrinology and metabolism.

Your earlier Senior Residency matters because the combined period at AIIMS Bilaspur or another institute cannot cross the tenure allowed for the specialty. You must declare that history accurately in the application form and bring proof where applicable.

Age Limit

• Your upper age limit is 45 years as on 21 August 2026.
• Reserved categories: Relaxation is available under Government of India rules when you submit valid category proof.
• Unreserved seats: Reserved-category applicants seeking a UR seat do not get category-based age relaxation for that seat.

Salary

• Medical Senior Residents: Pay Level 11, starting at Rs. 67,700 per month, plus NPA and applicable Central Government allowances.
• Non-medical Senior Residents: Pay Level 10, starting at Rs. 56,100 per month, plus applicable allowances; NPA is not paid.
• Pay range reference: The Level 11 pay matrix extends up to Rs. 2,08,700 per month.

Application Fee

• PwBD / SC / ST: No fee
• All other categories: Rs. 1,180, made up of Rs. 1,000 plus 18% GST
• Payment mode: Pay by NEFT to the recruitment account printed in the notice and bring payment proof.
• Refund: The fee is non-refundable.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

The process is centred on a physical walk-in interview; the notice does not prescribe a written examination.

1. Document Verification: The institute checks your original form, checklist, qualifications, registration, category proof, fee receipt and other records before the interview.
2. Screening: A screening committee may shortlist applicants after checking original documents and eligibility.
3. Walk-in Interview: You must appear personally before the interview board at AIIMS Bilaspur on 21 August 2026.
4. Medical Fitness: Appointment remains subject to fitness declared by the competent medical board.

5. Bring originals including MBBS, internship, postgraduate qualification, medical registration and Class 10 date-of-birth proof.
6. Bring an original NOC if you work for a government, semi-government or autonomous organization.
