Tata Memorial Centre is a Grant-in-Aid institution under the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, and runs Tata Memorial Hospital, one of India's leading cancer care hospitals. The HRD Department has announced a walk-in interview to hire female nurses only under temporary engagement categories - Locum, Project, Adhoc and Contract Nurses. This drive fills leave vacancies in the nursing staff, so the exact number of openings depends on requirement on the interview day. Since this is a walk-in against leave vacancies rather than a regular recruitment cycle, TMC may repeat such interviews from time to time as more leave vacancies come up. No online application is needed - you simply walk in with your documents on the interview date and time, and the interview panel will assess you the same day.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) and/or B.Sc (Nursing).
• Registration: You must hold a valid Maharashtra Nursing Council (MNC) registration certificate.
• Vaccination: A Hepatitis B vaccination certificate (all doses) is compulsory.
• Gender: This walk-in is for female candidates only.
• Experience is not compulsory - both freshers and experienced nurses can attend. Candidates with prior nursing experience are paid extra on top of the base salary, so it is worth listing your complete work history in your Bio-Data.

Age Limit

• Your age should not exceed 40 years at the time of the interview.

Salary

• Freshers with GNM qualification get Rs. 33,000 per month.
• Freshers with B.Sc (Nursing) qualification get Rs. 35,000 per month.
• You will also get a one-time additional amount of Rs. 1,500 for every completed year of experience, up to 4 years, added on top of your monthly pay.
• Outstation candidates will not be given accommodation, so plan your travel and stay in Mumbai accordingly if you are coming from outside the city.

Selection Process

Selection is done directly through a walk-in interview:

1. MCQ Test (if required): If a large number of candidates turn up, TMC may conduct a short MCQ test to shortlist candidates for the interview.
2. Walk-in Interview: Shortlisted candidates are interviewed on the spot based on their Bio-Data and certificates.

Selected candidates must give an undertaking to serve at Tata Memorial Hospital for one year. If you leave the post midway, your security deposit or salary amount will be forfeited and no experience certificate will be issued. During this period, you also cannot apply for other posts, courses, scholarships or exams outside TMC. Keep this bond condition in mind before you attend the interview, since it applies to everyone selected through this walk-in.

How to Apply

1. Reach the Dining Hall, Golden Jubilee Building, 4th Floor, Tata Memorial Hospital, Dr. E. Borges Road, Parel, Mumbai - 400012 on the interview date.
2. Report between 9:30 AM and 10:30 AM on 8 July 2026.
3. Carry your Bio-Data, attested copies of certificates for date of birth, qualification and experience, and a recent passport-size photograph.
4. Carry your valid MNC Registration Certificate and Hepatitis B vaccination certificate.
5. Attend the MCQ test (if conducted) and the interview.
