Tata Memorial Hospital is the flagship unit of Tata Memorial Centre (TMC), a Grant-in-Aid Institution under the Department of Atomic Energy that also runs Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospitals in Varanasi, Mullanpur, Muzaffarpur, and Visakhapatnam. TMH has invited applications for 1 Scientific Officer to handle speech and swallowing therapy for cancer patients undergoing treatment. This is a contract position for an initial period of one year, with the duration likely to be increased based on your performance, interest, and willingness to continue. You need strong clinical experience in FEES and Videofluoroscopy to be considered for this specialised role — this makes it ideal for experienced speech-language pathologists looking to work in oncology rehabilitation at one of India's leading cancer hospitals.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: Master of Speech Language Pathology (M.Sc. SLP) or Master of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology (MASLP).
• Experience (desirable): At least 1 year of experience after your PG in a specialised cancer hospital or reputed hospital, with skills in advanced speech and swallowing rehabilitation.
• You should be able to independently run Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) and Videofluoroscopy Services (VFS) jointly with the radiology team.
• Experience in running chemo/radiotherapy Dysphagia services and working with Head & Neck surgeons on Surgical Voice Restoration is valued.
• Interest in developing Dysphagia Rehabilitation Services for Thoracic Cancer and Post-Thoracic Surgery patients will strengthen your candidature, since this is an area TMH is looking to expand.

Salary

• Freshers: Rs. 60,000 per month.
• 1-2 years of experience: Rs. 65,000 per month.
• 3 years and above of experience: Rs. 70,000 per month.
