Tata Memorial Centre (TMC), a Grant-in-Aid Institution under the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, is inviting female nurses for a walk-in interview under Advertisement No. 121/2026 dated 27 July 2026. Tata Memorial Hospital is one of India's leading government cancer treatment and research hospitals, and this drive is meant to fill urgent nursing positions on Locum, Project, Adhoc, and Contract basis, including Leave Vacancy roles that cover for regular staff who are on leave. The positions are open only to female candidates and are on a purely temporary basis. No prior online registration is needed — you just need to walk in with your documents on the interview date.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) and/or B.Sc. Nursing
• Registration: You must hold a valid Maharashtra Nursing Council (MNC) Registration Certificate
• Vaccination: A Hepatitis B vaccination (all doses) certificate is compulsory
• Gender: Open only to female candidates
• Leave Vacancy: You can also apply if you are willing to work on a Leave Vacancy basis, covering for regular staff on leave

Age Limit

• Your age should not exceed 40 years at the time of the interview.

Salary

• Freshers with a GNM qualification will get Rs. 33,000 per month.
• Freshers with a B.Sc. Nursing qualification will get Rs. 35,000 per month.
• You will also get a one-time additional amount of Rs. 1,500 for every completed year of experience, up to 4 years.

Selection Process

The selection will be done through the following steps:

1. MCQ Test (if required): If a large number of candidates apply, TMC will hold a screening MCQ test before the interview, and only eligible candidates will be shortlisted from it.
2. Walk-In Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed on the spot at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai.

How to Apply

1. Reach the Prof. R. D. Choksi Auditorium, 2nd Floor, Golden Jubilee Building, Tata Memorial Hospital, Dr. Ernest Borges Road, Parel, Mumbai – 400 012 on 10 August 2026, between 9:30 AM and 10:30 AM.
2. Carry your Bio-Data along with attested copies of certificates for Date of Birth, Qualifications, and Experience.
3. Attach a recent passport-size photograph to your Bio-Data.
4. Carry your valid Maharashtra Nursing Council (MNC) Registration Certificate and Hepatitis B vaccination certificate.
5. Attend the MCQ test (if conducted) and then the interview.

Note: Outstation candidates will not be provided accommodation, so plan your travel accordingly. Selected candidates must submit an undertaking to work at Tata Memorial Hospital for one year — during this period you cannot apply for other posts, courses, or scholarships, or appear for outside exams/interviews. If you leave the post midway, your security deposit/salary will be forfeited and you will not get an experience certificate.

• Handle patient care and nursing duties in the assigned ward
• Administer medicines and treatments as prescribed by doctors
• Keep accurate records of patient health and treatment given
• Work in rotating shifts including night duty as required
• Assist doctors during rounds, procedures, and emergencies
• Maintain hygiene and safety standards in the ward
• Support patients and their families with information about their care
