Tata Memorial Centre (TMC) functions as a Grant-in-Aid Institution under the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, and is India's leading cancer treatment and research institute. Vide notice Ref. No. TMC/AD/110/2026 dated 2 July 2026, TMC needs a Clinical Research Coordinator for Project No. 4271Improving Survival in Childhood Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in India (ISCALL): ICiCLe Implementation Study — funded by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). The study aims to improve treatment outcomes for children with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. TMC operates several cancer hospitals across the country, including Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai and the Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospitals in Varanasi, Mullanpur, Muzaffarpur and Visakhapatnam. Being one of India's largest cancer care networks, TMC frequently opens project and clinical posts under ICMR and other government-funded studies.

What Will You Do?

In this role, you will enroll and follow up with child patients under the ISCALL study, keep clinical records accurate, and coordinate between doctors, patients and the research team so the study stays on schedule.

The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) is India's apex body for biomedical research, and studies like ISCALL help build better, standard treatment protocols for government hospitals across the country. Working on such a project gives you hands-on experience in oncology clinical trials at one of India's top cancer centres.

Who Can Apply?

You can qualify through either of these two routes:

Route 1 (Graduate Degree + 3 Years Experience):

  • Graduate degree in Life Science — B.Sc, B.Pharm, MBBS, BDS, BHMS or BAMS
  • PG Diploma in Clinical Research is mandatory
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in clinical research is mandatory

Route 2 (Postgraduate Degree / Pharm.D + 1 Year Experience):

  • Postgraduate degree in Life Science — M.Sc, M.Pharm or MD — with PG Diploma in Clinical Research, OR a Pharm.D degree
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in clinical research is mandatory

If you already work at TMC, carry a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from your current Head of Department or Principal Investigator.

Salary

  • You will get a consolidated pay of Rs. 36,400 per month, which already includes House Rent Allowance (HRA).
  • This is a project post funded by ICMR, initially engaged for six months from the date of joining.

Selection Process

TMC will fill this post through a walk-in interview, with up to two possible stages:

  1. Screening (MCQ Test): If a large number of candidates attend, an MCQ test will first be conducted to shortlist candidates for the interview.
  2. Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates are interviewed the same day by the selection panel.

Since this is a walk-in process, there is no separate exam date or admit card — you simply attend on the scheduled date with your documents.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily activities of the ISCALL childhood leukemia research project
  • Enroll eligible child patients into the study after informed consent
  • Record and manage patient data in the study case report forms
  • Follow up with patients and families for scheduled visits and tests
  • Coordinate with doctors, nurses and lab staff for sample collection
  • Maintain accurate and complete study documentation
  • Ensure compliance with ICMR and hospital ethics committee guidelines
  • Prepare periodic progress updates for the Principal Investigator
