BRIC-Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (BRIC-THSTI) Staff Nurse, Research Assistant & Technician Recruitment 2026 - 4 Posts

BRIC-THSTI, an institute of the Biotechnology Research and Innovation Council under the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, has released Rolling Recruitment Notice THS/RN/02/2026/07-I to fill 4 posts across two research projects on antenatal care and early childhood development. All three posts are filled through a single walk-in test/skill test/interview — there is no separate online application process. Candidates from nursing, health sciences or lab technology backgrounds should apply. The Staff Nurse post supports the project "A Multicentric Evaluation of Indian Population-Specific Tools for Antenatal Estimation of Gestational Age", while the Research Assistant and Technician posts support "Global Scales for Early Development (GSED) 2.0", a study on population norms for early childhood development under 36 months. Both projects are led by Dr. Nitya Wadhwa.

Who Can Apply?

For Staff Nurse (Rs. 35,000/month):

• GNM or B.Sc. (Nursing) from a recognised university, with experience in clinical training in antenatal care and skills relevant to maternal health.
• Place of posting: KGMU Lucknow.

For Research Assistant (Rs. 32,000/month):

• B.Sc. (Nursing) or a health-related discipline from a recognised university, OR Diploma in Nursing & Midwifery (GNM)/ANM with 1 year of post-qualification experience in the relevant field.
• Place of posting: Civil Hospital Gurugram or Vardhman Mahavir Medical College & Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi.

For Technician (Rs. 25,000/month):

• B.Sc./DMLT from a recognised university, OR 12th pass (Science stream) with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience in clinical trials or health-related research projects.
• You should have a valid two-wheeler license and basic knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
• Place of posting: Civil Hospital Gurugram or Vardhman Mahavir Medical College & Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi.

Age Limit

• Staff Nurse and Research Assistant: up to 35 years.
• Technician: up to 50 years.
• Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC candidates. PwBD candidates get 10 years (UR), 13 years (OBC) or 15 years (SC/ST) relaxation. Central Government servants get up to 5 years, and Ex-servicemen get relaxation equal to their defence service plus 3 years.
• The date of your walk-in interview is the crucial date for checking age, experience and qualification eligibility.

Salary

• Staff Nurse: Rs. 35,000 per month (consolidated)
• Research Assistant: Rs. 32,000 per month (consolidated)
• Technician: Rs. 25,000 per month (consolidated)

Selection Process

Selection for all three posts happens on the same walk-in day:

1. Written Test/Skill Test: Conducted for candidates who walk in on the scheduled date.
2. Interview: Held right after the written/skill test at THSTI, Faridabad.

Note: Screening includes participant enrolment, data collection through Case Report Forms (CRFs), anthropometric and blood pressure monitoring, and ultrasound scheduling for the Staff Nurse role; the Research Assistant handles CRF review, query resolution and follow-up scheduling; and the Technician assists with anemia testing, participant identification, and home visits for data collection.
