BBMB Trade Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Overview

Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) is taking on ITI Trade Apprentices in the Lineman and Electrician trades at its Operation and Maintenance Division in Delhi, part of the board's Power Wing. The seats belong to the 2026-27 apprenticeship year and were approved by the board's HRD Directorate in Chandigarh. This is a fixed-term apprenticeship, not a regular job — you train alongside the division's power-supply staff. If you have finished your ITI in one of these two trades and want hands-on experience with a large power utility, this is a good opening.

Posts and Disciplines

• Trade Apprentice – Lineman: the bigger of the two groups, open only to candidates who completed the Lineman course at an ITI. Seats are split across General, SC, OBC, EWS and other reserved categories.
• Trade Apprentice – Electrician: a small batch for ITI Electrician pass-outs, split between the General and OBC categories.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Merit fallback: If no suitable candidate turns up for a reserved seat, BBMB will pick the next available candidate on merit, so that power-supply work in the division keeps running smoothly.
• ITI trades only: These seats are for candidates holding a National Trade Certificate from NCVT or SCVT in the notified trade. A Class 10 pass alone is not enough.
• Aadhaar: An Aadhaar card is compulsory, because the online registration on the apprenticeship portal needs it.
• Place of training: You train at the BBMB O&M Division in Delhi (BBMB Delhi-110035). The seats are filled through the online apprenticeship portal.

Application Submission Notes

You apply only through the Apprenticeship India portal (apprenticeshipindia.gov.in), uploading all your documents there. The window opens at 1:00 PM on the start day and shuts at 5:00 PM on the last day, so do not leave it to the final evening. BBMB has not asked for any paper application or postal copy.
