Tezpur University, a Central University in Assam, has released Memo No. DoRD/Env.Sc./AD/20-629/94-A dated 27 May 2026 for project staff under Prof. Ashalata Devi, Department of Environmental Science. The project title is Reassessment, Revival, and Recognition of Bio-Resources, Handlooms, and Handicrafts of Indigenous Tribes of Manipur for Sustainable Livelihood.

Who Can Apply?

• Preferred experience: Survey techniques, data collection on bioresource use in traditional crafts, remote sensing, GIS, data analysis and fieldwork in Manipur will help.

Field Assistant

• Qualification: You need at least a B.Sc. or Diploma in a relevant discipline of Biological Sciences or Applied Sciences.
• Preferred experience: Community-based fieldwork, local language/culture knowledge, field survey work in Manipur, specimen collection, storage, processing and preservation will help.
• Computer skills: Basic skills in MS Office, data compilation, file handling and office management are preferred.

Other Conditions

• Manipur preference: Candidates from Manipur will be given preference.
• NOC: If you are employed or doing a Ph.D., you must submit a No Objection Certificate from your employer or Ph.D. supervisor.

Age Limit

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Tezpur University will select candidates through shortlisting and personal interview. The notification does not mention a written exam.
