Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS), Tirupati has released a notification dated 20 May 2026 for 11 contract posts under the MRC Project entitled "Evaluation of Cancer Awareness and Screening programme — An Implementation Research in Tirupati District, Andhra Pradesh". The engagement is on consolidated pay for one year, extendable based on satisfactory service. Since this is a Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) institution, only persons professing Hindu religion can apply. Roster of Reservation reserves these posts mainly for SC (Gr.II) candidates with one OC seat among the Drivers.

Who Can Apply?

Medical Officer (Female):

• MBBS Degree from a college recognised by NMC (MCI Act 1956 as amended), OR BDS Degree from a college recognised by DCI

Staff Nurse (Female):

• B.Sc. Nursing from a recognised university + registered with Andhra Pradesh Nursing Council, OR
• Intermediate + 3-year General Nursing Course with 6 months Midwifery training + 3 years experience in Medical College / tertiary care hospital + APNC registration

ANM (Female):

• SSC pass + ANM/MPHW training recognised by Govt. of Andhra Pradesh + 2 years experience as ANM in Govt./corporate hospital + APNC/Midwifery Council registration

Mammography Technician (Female):

• B.Sc. + Diploma/PG Diploma in Medical Imaging Technology, OR B.Sc. in Radiography and Imaging Technology (RIT), OR Intermediate (Science) + CRA/DMIT certificate + 5 years experience as Radiographer + APPMB registration

Cardiovascular Technician Gr.II (Female):

• B.Sc. + 2-year PG Diploma in Cardiovascular Technology, OR B.Sc. in Cardio-Vascular Technology (UGC recognised) + 1 year experience + APPMB registration

Data Entry Operator (Female):

• Bachelor's Degree + computer applications knowledge + typewriting higher grade English

Public Relations Officer (Male):

• Degree from recognised university + PG Diploma in Public Relations + 2 years experience as PRO in corporate hospital/university/medical college/PSU

Medico Social Worker (Female):

• PG Degree in Social Work with medical and psychiatric specialisation + 1 year experience in tertiary hospital

Electrician (Male):

• SSC + D.E.E. / ITI Electrical Trade certificate from Govt. of Andhra Pradesh + 3 years experience

Drivers (Male):

• SSC + valid heavy motor vehicle driving licence + normal vision + 2 years experience as Driver in Govt./PSU/military/reputed organisation + minimum height 5 ft. 4 inches

Other Conditions (all posts):

• Only persons professing Hindu religion may apply (TTD institution rule)
• Reservation as per Andhra Pradesh State ROR G.O.Ms.No.77 dated 02.08.2023 and G.O.Ms.No.7 dated 18.04.2025 (SC Sub-Classification Rules, 2025)

Age Limit

• Upper age limit for all posts: 42 years
• Age will be reckoned as on the date of walk-in interview
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST candidates get 5 years relaxation

• Medical Officer: Rs. 60,000/month (consolidated)
• Public Relations Officer & Medico Social Worker: Rs. 45,800/month
• Staff Nurse: Rs. 38,700/month
• Mammography Technician & Cardiovascular Technician Gr.II: Rs. 37,600/month
• Electrician: Rs. 32,600/month
• ANM: Rs. 29,900/month
• Data Entry Operator: Rs. 28,200/month
• Drivers: Rs. 27,500/month
• Consolidated pay is subject to statutory deductions as per rules

Selection Process (Walk-in Interview)

Selection is through walk-in interview only — no written exam.

1. Document Verification: All certificates will be verified on the spot at the venue.
2. Walk-in Interview: Conducted by the selection committee on the scheduled date.
3. Final Selection: Based on qualification, experience and interview performance.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the walk-in interview. Candidates attending after the stipulated reporting time will not be allowed.

3. Bring two recent passport size photographs (one pasted on the form, one pinned to it).
4. Carry original certificates plus one set of self-attested photocopies of: Aadhaar/Govt. ID, SSC certificate (proof of age), all education certificates, MCI/NMC/Council registration certificate (where applicable), experience certificates, SC Gr.II caste certificate (mandatory for SC posts), and other relevant documents.

6. Walk-in interview will be conducted there and then.

• Conduct community-based cancer awareness and screening activities in Tirupati District as per the MRC project plan
• Examine and counsel patients on cancer screening (Medical Officer), provide nursing care (Staff Nurse, ANM) and perform imaging investigations (Mammography Technician, Cardiovascular Technician)
• Maintain digital records and project data accurately (Data Entry Operator)
• Coordinate publicity, community outreach and stakeholder engagement (Public Relations Officer)
• Provide psychosocial support, counselling and follow-up to project beneficiaries (Medico Social Worker)
• Install, operate and maintain electrical equipment used in field screening units (Electrician)
• Drive project vehicles for mobile screening camps and outreach visits in Tirupati District (Drivers)
• Travel to any project location as per the requirement of SVIMS
