Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), one of the country's Maharatna Central Public Sector Enterprises and India's largest steel producer, is hiring Audiologists for a short-term contract at Bokaro General Hospital (BGH) — a 910-bed multi-specialty hospital run by its Bokaro Steel Plant for employees and their families. Selection is entirely through a walk-in interview — there is no online application for this post. Qualified MASLP or MSc (Speech and Hearing) candidates who can attend daily OPD hours at the hospital on working days should walk in with their documents.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: One-year short-term contract engagement, renewed at SAIL's discretion.
• Nature of Engagement: This is a purely temporary position and does not create any right to regular appointment at SAIL.
• Payment: You are paid per procedure performed rather than a fixed monthly salary — see the exact rates in the salary section.
• Duties: You will perform audiometric, impedance, BERA, voice-analysis and hearing-aid-fitting procedures in BGH's OPD on working days, or as required.
• No TA/DA: No travel allowance is paid for attending the walk-in interview or the wider selection process.
• Medical Fitness: You must be medically fit to perform the duties of an Audiologist.
• Jurisdiction: Any dispute relating to this engagement falls under the courts of Bokaro Steel City, Jharkhand.
