Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), a Navratna Government of India enterprise under the Ministry of Railways, has released Vacancy Notice No. 2026/RVNL/37-CIVIL for 1 Sr. Deputy General Manager (Civil) post at Chandigarh. The post is filled on deputation basis for a period of 5 years, subject to the Government's approval for exemption to RVNL from the rule of immediate absorption. Preference is given to candidates with experience in planning, execution and management of infrastructure projects in CPSEs, PSUs or Central/State government companies.

Who Can Apply?

Who Is Eligible (Grade Level-12 CDA / E-5 IDA, Rs. 80,000-2,20,000)

You should be an officer holding substantively one of the following:

• A post in an analogous grade (CDA/IDA), OR
• A post in Senior Scale (Level-11), OR
• A post in Group B (Level-10) with 10 years of service in Group B (Gazetted), OR
• A post carrying grade IDA E-4 (Rs. 70,000-2,00,000) for 4 years.

Experience

• Preference is given to candidates with experience in planning, execution and management of infrastructure projects in CPSEs, PSUs or Central/State government companies and organisations.

Age Limit

• Your age must be below 56 years.
• The cut-off date for age and eligibility is the closing date of the vacancy notice (25 July 2026).

Salary

• The grade for this post is Level-12 (CDA) / E-5 (IDA): Rs. 80,000 to Rs. 2,20,000.
• On deputation, you will draw your parent pay plus deputation allowance as per the rules.

Selection Process

Selection is done in these steps:
