RITES Limited is hiring 1 Senior Manager / Manager (Electrical) on a deputation basis. If you are a serving SSE / Junior Scale / Group-B officer in Indian Railways or Railway PSUs with a Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering and at least 10 years of experience with ALCO Diesel Electric Locomotives, you can apply. RITES Limited Senior Manager / Manager (Electrical) Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

Rail India Technical and Economic Service Limited (RITES) has issued Vacancy Circular VC No. 11/26 (D) dated 12 May 2026 to fill up 1 post of Senior Manager / Manager (Electrical) in various projects of RITES on a deputation basis. The base location is Gurugram, but the officer can be posted anywhere in India or abroad as per requirement. This is a deputation-only post — applications are open only to serving Railways/Railway PSU officers, routed through the proper administrative channel.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: Full-time Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering
• Experience: SSE (Diesel Electrical) with a minimum of 10 years in maintenance of ALCO Diesel Electric Locomotives of Indian Railways or Railway PSUs
• Service eligibility: Serving SSE / Junior Scale / Group-B level officers in Indian Railways or Railway PSUs
• Routing: Application must be forwarded through the proper Administrative Officer (HOD) with vigilance/D&AR clearance and last 5 years' APARs

Age Limit

• You should not be more than 57 years as on the last date of submission of application (25 June 2026)

Salary

• Senior Manager (Electrical): 7th CPC Level 8 to Level 10 — for Junior Scale / Group-B and above officers
• SSEs working in 7th CPC Level-8 (MACP, GP 4800) will be designated as Sr. Manager (Electrical)
• Manager (Electrical): 7th CPC Level 7 — for SSEs
• You will also get parent pay + deputation allowance + foreign allowance (if applicable) and other perks as admissible on deputation, as per Railway Board guidelines
• RITES will provide company / leased accommodation as per entitlement

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is based on a 100-mark weightage system:

1. Educational Qualification (15 marks): Basic minimum qualification = 10 marks; each relevant additional qualification = 1 mark, max 5 marks
2. Vigilance / D&AR (10 marks): No vigilance history = 10; case closed without action = 10; closed with minor penalty = 7.5; closed with major penalty = 5
3. Performance in Service / APARs for 5 years (25 marks): Marks awarded on the basis of OS-5, VG-4, G-3, G+F-3.5, Av-2, BA-1
4. Performance in Interview (50 marks): Domain knowledge, work experience, managerial competency, overall suitability — decided by Interview Committee

You need to score 60% or more to be placed in the Merit List for final consideration.

2. Print the filled online form, sign it and attach it with the application in the prescribed format (Annexure-III) along with your detailed CV.
3. Your application must be forwarded through your administrative officer (HOD) with: No Objection Certificate, Vigilance / DAR clearance, vigilance / D&AR records (with penalty details if any) and ACRs / APARs for the last 5 years.
4. The forwarded application with all documents must reach RITES within 45 days from the issue of the vacancy notice (i.e. by 25 June 2026).

• Lead maintenance and overhaul of ALCO Diesel Electric Locomotives in RITES projects
• Manage electrical engineering activities at the assigned project site or workshop
• Plan preventive and breakdown maintenance schedules for diesel electric locomotives
• Supervise junior engineers, technicians and contractor staff on electrical works
• Monitor compliance with Indian Railways and OEM technical specifications
• Prepare technical reports, defect analyses and project progress updates
• Coordinate with client railways, vendors and zonal officials for project delivery
• Ensure safety, quality and timely completion of electrical maintenance contracts
