RITES Limited is engaging Used Water, Standards and Procurement specialists for consultancy assignments connected with environmental infrastructure. Your academic route must match the role, but the deciding factor is the depth and relevance of your work record. Training, internships, teaching, fellowships and PhD research are not counted as professional experience for this recruitment.

Post-wise Duties

Used Water Expert

You will review technical needs, support used-water and sludge-management planning, and turn field or project requirements into practical design and implementation inputs. Your work must stay aligned with the client's scope and RITES quality expectations.

Standard and Specification Expert

You will examine existing practice and prepare or review standards, specifications, guidelines and policy inputs. The role needs clear technical writing and a strong grasp of how environmental requirements are used on real projects.

Procurement Specialist

You will support tendering, procurement and contract documentation for environmental projects. You should be able to connect engineering requirements with management, commercial and contractual considerations.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Independent status: this is a consultancy arrangement and does not create a regular employer-employee relationship with RITES.
• Tenure: the initial engagement is for 12 months and may be extended according to performance and project need; continuation is not automatic.
• Benefits: consultants are paid for services and do not receive PF, ESI or gratuity. Leave accrues at 1.5 days for each completed month and cannot be carried beyond the calendar year.
• Client approval: a successful RITES interview does not by itself guarantee deployment; the client must approve the CV before an engagement letter is issued.
• Verification: a negative police-verification report can end the contract immediately. RITES may also ask for a statement of good health before work begins.
• Travel support: no TA or DA is paid for attending the interview, joining the assignment or completing it.
• Notice period: either side normally gives one month's notice when ending the consultancy.
