National Institute of Technology Agartala (NIT Agartala) Project Assistant Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

NIT Agartala has released a notification (Advt No. F.NITA/15(7-CHEM)/ANRF Project/PA/R.Paul/2026) for 1 Project Assistant post under a research project titled "From Waste to Wealth: CO2-Derived Covalent Organic Framework for Photocatalytic Hydrogen Peroxide Production". The project is funded by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) and is led by Dr. Ratul Paul. The project runs for 36 months, and your appointment will be co-terminus with the project for a period of 1, 2 or 3 years.

NIT Agartala is one of India's premier technical institutes, located in Tripura's Jirania area. Working on this project gives you the chance to research carbon capture and photocatalytic hydrogen peroxide production — an emerging clean-energy topic — and if selected, you will also have the option to register for a PhD program in the Department of Chemistry, subject to the Institute's 2018 PhD eligibility rules.

The Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) is India's apex body for funding scientific research across institutions, so being part of an ANRF-funded project adds real value to your research profile. This project focuses on developing covalent organic frameworks derived from CO2 for photocatalytic hydrogen peroxide production — a promising green chemistry approach with strong career prospects in both academia and industry.

Salary

  • You will get Rs. 37,000 per month plus 10% HRA (about Rs. 40,700 in total) if you are GATE or NET qualified.
  • You will get Rs. 30,000 per month plus 10% HRA (about Rs. 33,000 in total) if you do not have GATE or NET qualification.
  • No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview or joining.
