The Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA), an autonomous institution under the University Grants Commission (UGC), has released Advertisement No. 10/2026 to fill 1 Hindi Officer post through an outsourced agency. This is a one-year contract that can be extended based on your performance and IUCAA's requirements. As Hindi Officer, you will translate IUCAA's office orders, annual reports, the quarterly Khagol magazine and the annual Vyom magazine, along with press releases. You will also send quarterly progress reports to the Department of Official Language under the Ministry of Home Affairs, conduct Hindi workshops, organize the annual Hindi Pakhwada celebrations, and represent IUCAA at Rajbhasha events held by the Government of India. Preference is given to candidates who have already worked with government institutions.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: Master's degree from a recognized university in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject at degree level, OR Master's in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject at degree level.
• Additional Requirement: A diploma in English-Hindi translation from a recognized university.
• Experience: You need at least 2 years of experience in terminology work or translation between English and Hindi. Preference goes to candidates with prior experience working in government institutions.

Age Limit

• The maximum age limit for this post is 40 years.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a consolidated pay of Rs. 30,000 per month, which is negotiable based on your experience.
• This is a contract role hired through an outsourced agency, so allowances may differ from those given to regular IUCAA staff.
