MANUU Teaching Posts Recruitment 2026

Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), a central university under the Ministry of Education, has released Employment Notification No. 73 of 2026 dated 23 February 2026. MANUU is inviting applications for 10 teaching positions across four post levels. Knowledge of Urdu is mandatory for all posts.

• Professor - 4 posts
• Associate Professor - 4 posts
• Assistant Professor - 1 post
• Lecturer - 1 post

Total: 10 posts

Salary (Pay Matrix Level)

• Professor: Level 14 — Rs. 1,44,200 to Rs. 2,18,200 per month
• Associate Professor: Level 13A — Rs. 1,31,400 to Rs. 2,17,100 per month
• Assistant Professor: Level 10 — Rs. 57,700 to Rs. 1,82,400 per month
• Lecturer: Level 10/9A — Rs. 56,100 to Rs. 1,82,400 per month

Who Can Apply

Eligibility requirements as per UGC norms:

• Professor: PhD in relevant subject + at least 10 years of teaching/research experience
• Associate Professor: PhD in relevant subject + at least 8 years of teaching/research experience
• Assistant Professor: PhD in relevant subject + NET/SLET qualification as per UGC norms. No experience needed.
• Lecturer: B.E./B.Tech in relevant discipline. No experience needed.

Note: Knowledge of Urdu is mandatory for all posts.

Age Limit

Maximum age is 65 years as on 18 March 2026. Age relaxation for reserved categories is as per government rules.

• General / OBC / EWS: Rs. 500
• SC / ST / PwD / Women: No fee (exempt)

2. Register and fill the application form online
3. Upload all required documents and pay the fee (if applicable)
4. Submit the online application before 18 March 2026
5. Take a printout of the submitted application form
6. Send the signed hard copy along with self-attested documents by post to reach MANUU before 27 March 2026

Important: Both online submission and hard copy by post are mandatory. Applications without the hard copy will not be considered.
