Kerala Public Service Commission (Kerala PSC) Medical Officer (Visha) Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

The Kerala Public Service Commission (Kerala PSC) has released Notification No. 063/2026, a Second NCA notification, for one Medical Officer (Visha) post under the Indian Systems of Medicine department. This special recruitment is open only to candidates of the Hindu Nadar community in Kerala — applications from other communities will be rejected without a separate notice.

An NCA (Non-Joining Candidate) notification is issued when qualified candidates of a reserved community are not available in the main list. This Second NCA notification was issued because qualified Hindu Nadar candidates were not found after the First NCA notification (Category No. 308/2025, gazetted on 30 August 2025). The ranked list will stay in force until candidates are advised and appointed against the community vacancies earmarked in the main ranked list (Category No. 030/2023, dated 2 November 2024). The post of Medical Officer (Visha) deals with Ayurveda toxicology (Agadathantra), so it needs a specialist with an M.D in this branch. This is a rare, well-paid opening for Hindu Nadar Ayurveda specialists.

Who Can Apply?

  • Community: Only candidates of the Hindu Nadar community in Kerala State can apply.
  • Qualification 1: M.D (Ayurveda) in Visha / Agadathantra awarded by a recognised University.
  • Qualification 2: A-Class registration with the Travancore-Cochin Medical Council.
  • Higher qualifications: Government-recognised equivalent or higher qualifications are also accepted, subject to production of the relevant Government order when asked.
  • At the verification stage you must produce a Gazette notification (if your community entry differs) along with a Non-Creamy Layer / Community Certificate.

Age Limit

  • You should be between 19 and 48 years old as on 1 January 2026. Only candidates born between 02.01.1978 and 01.01.2007 (both dates included) can apply.
  • Age Relaxation: Age relaxation under Para 2 of the General Conditions (except Para 2(i)) applies to this selection.

Salary

  • The pay scale for this post is Rs. 55,200 to Rs. 1,15,300 per month, plus a Special Pay of Rs. 2,700.
  • You will also get DA, HRA and other allowances as per Kerala Government rules.

Application Fee

  • No application fee is required for this post.

Selection Process

  1. Written / OMR / Online Test (if conducted): If the Commission holds a test, you must submit a confirmation through your One Time Registration profile. Only candidates who confirm can generate and download the admission ticket in the last 15 days before the test.
  2. Ranked List: A ranked list of qualified Hindu Nadar candidates is prepared based on merit.
  3. Document Verification: You must produce original certificates for qualification, registration, age and community (with Non-Creamy Layer / Community Certificate) when the Commission calls for them.

Note: Submitting bogus claims about education or experience can lead to disqualification, debarment and other action under Rule 22 of the Kerala PSC Rules of Procedure. Give only true details.
