Headquarters, Andaman & Nicobar Command (HQ ANC), Indian Navy, has released notification number ANC-01/2026 for 9 Group C civilian vacancies. This is a permanent government job in the Indian Navy under the Ministry of Defence. There is no application fee — anyone meeting the eligibility can apply free of cost. Who Can Apply?

For Lower Division Clerk (LDC):

• Qualification: 12th class (10+2) pass or equivalent from a recognised Board.
• Typing Test: You must clear a typing test on computer — 35 words per minute (WPM) in English OR 30 WPM in Hindi, in 10 minutes.

For Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS):

• Qualification: Matriculation (10th class) pass or equivalent from a recognised Board.

Age Limit

• LDC: 18 to 27 years
• MTS: 18 to 25 years
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST candidates get 5 years, OBC candidates get 3 years, PwBD candidates get 10 years (additional), Ex-Servicemen get relaxation as per Government of India rules.

Salary

• LDC: Pay Level 2 — Rs. 19,900 to Rs. 63,200 per month (7th CPC)
• MTS: Pay Level 1 — Rs. 18,000 to Rs. 56,900 per month (7th CPC)
• Plus DA, HRA, Transport Allowance and other allowances as per Central Government rules.

Selection Process

Selection will be done in the following stages:

1. Written Test: Objective type questions covering General Intelligence & Reasoning, English Language, Numerical Aptitude and General Awareness.
2. Skill Test (for LDC only): Typing test on computer — 35 WPM English or 30 WPM Hindi.
3. Document Verification: Originals of all certificates will be verified.
4. Medical Examination: As per Central Government rules.

• Handle file processing, dak management and clerical work in Naval offices (LDC)
• Prepare letters, reports and official documents in English and Hindi (LDC)
• Enter data into Naval software systems and maintain digital records (LDC)
• Support administrative work in offices, training schools and naval establishments (MTS)
• Carry files, documents and other office material between sections as needed (MTS)
• Help with photocopying, dispatch, cleaning and routine office tasks (MTS)
• Follow security protocols and confidentiality rules of the Indian Navy
• Assist senior officers with day-to-day administrative work as assigned
