Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur (IIT Jodhpur) has released Advertisement No. IITJ/Apprentice (1)/2026 dated 08 April 2026 for 34 Graduate Apprentice posts. These are one-year apprenticeship positions under the Apprentices Act, 1961, spread across two streams — 20 in Administration and 14 in Technical. Who Can Apply?

For Administration Stream (20 Posts)

• Qualification: You need a Graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised Indian university or institution.
• Year of passing: You must have completed your degree in 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, or 2026.

For Technical Stream (14 Posts)

• Qualification: You need a B.E. or B.Tech degree in Engineering/Technology from a recognised Indian institution.
• Year of passing: You must have completed your degree in 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, or 2026.

Important Conditions

• All qualifications must be from Indian institutions recognised by the appropriate statutory authority.
• If you have already done or are currently doing apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act elsewhere, you are not eligible.
• The crucial date for eligibility is 28 April 2026 (last date of application).

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 18 years as on the date of application.

Stipend

• Selected Graduate Apprentices will get a consolidated stipend of Rs. 20,000 per month.
• No additional allowances like HRA, TA, or DA will be provided.
• The training period is one year from the date of joining.
• Apprentices can use the free primary/OPD medical facility at the IIT Jodhpur Primary Health Centre (for self only).

Selection Process

Selection will be done in up to 3 stages:

1. Shortlisting (Merit-Based): Based on the percentage of marks in your Graduation degree. The Institute may set a cut-off percentage. Important: Enter marks in percentage only, not CGPA — applications with CGPA will be rejected.
2. Written Test (If Needed): A written test may be held only if there are too many shortlisted candidates. This is not guaranteed.
3. Interview: Final selection is based solely on your performance in the interview.

After provisional selection, you will need to clear document verification in person at the Institute.

How to Apply

1. Go to the NATS 2.0 Portal at nats.education.gov.in.
2. Register on the NATS portal if you have not already.
3. Log in and search for advertisement IITJ/Apprentice (1)/2026.
4. Fill in the online application form with your details.
5. Enter your graduation marks in percentage only (not CGPA). If your university gave CGPA, convert it to percentage using the university formula and keep the proof ready.
6. Upload all required documents and submit the application.
7. Take a printout of the submitted application for your records.

Make sure your Aadhaar card, bank account, and Class X certificate all show the same name and date of birth.
