Indian Institute of Management Mumbai (IIM Mumbai), one of India's premier B-schools at Powai, has released Advt. No. Admn/Rectt/2026/13 for 5 non-teaching positions. The initial appointment will be on tenure or deputation for a period of 5 years, extendable annually but capped at five years total. All three posts share the same pay level (Pay Level 6), and accommodation on the IIM Mumbai campus may be provided subject to availability.

Who Can Apply?

Assistant (Program) - Pay Level 6:

• Qualification: Graduation in any discipline from a recognized Institute/University with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade, with a consistently good academic record.
• Experience: Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in Pay Level 4 or equivalent, OR currently working in Pay Level 6 in Central/State Government, Autonomous Bodies, Academic/Research Institutions, or other reputed organizations.
• Desirable: MBA/PGDM. Experience in academic programme administration, examination support, and student services with computer proficiency. Experience in IIMs, IITs is preferred.

Assistant (Hostels) - Pay Level 6:

• Qualification: Graduate from a recognized Institute/University with minimum 55% marks.
• Experience: Minimum 4 years of relevant office/clerical experience in Pay Level 4 or equivalent, OR currently in Pay Level 6 in similar organizations.
• Desirable: Post-graduate in Hotel Management/Hospitality Management with experience in supervising hostel and security administration.

Executive Assistant - Pay Level 6:

• Qualification: Post Graduate Degree in any discipline with at least 55% marks.
• Experience: Minimum 4 years of relevant office/clerical experience in Pay Level 4 or equivalent, OR currently in Pay Level 6.
• Desirable: Typing speed of 35 wpm in English or 30 wpm in Hindi. Computer proficiency. Experience in IIMs, IITs is preferred.

Age Limit

• Preferably below 35 years (as on the last date of application)
• Age Relaxation: Available for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Ex-servicemen as per existing government rules
• Internal Candidates: No age limit applies if you are already working at IIM Mumbai

Salary

• All three posts: Pay Level 6 as per 7th CPC (Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400 per month)
• Plus DA, HRA, and other allowances as per Central Government rules
• Campus accommodation may be provided subject to availability (electricity and water charges payable as per actual)

Selection Process

The Institute may use any combination of the following stages:

1. Screening of Applications: The Screening Committee will shortlist candidates based on qualifications, experience, and other relevant criteria. Maximum of 5 candidates may be called per position.
2. Written Test and/or Skill Test (if conducted): Only for shortlisted candidates as decided by the Institute.
3. Interview: Final selection round for candidates who clear earlier stages.
4. Document Verification: Original certificates verified at the time of interview.

Mere fulfilment of minimum qualification does not guarantee a call letter. The Institute reserves the right to revise shortlisting criteria.

• Assist in academic and programme administration including maintaining student records, scheduling classes and exams (Assistant Program)
• Manage hostel administration ensuring safe, hygienic, and student-friendly residential environment (Assistant Hostels)
• Provide secretarial support to deans, directors, and department heads including scheduling and correspondence (Executive Assistant)
• Compile academic data, process results, and prepare certificates and transcripts
• Maintain ERP-based records and prepare routine reports
• Handle student queries and assist with convocation arrangements
• Prepare notes, presentations, and reports for senior officers
• Supervise junior staff in the assigned section and carry out additional duties assigned by higher authorities
