The Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) is hiring a Head, Centre for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) at its Manesar campus in Gurugram. Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) Head, Centre for MSME Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

IICA, an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, has released a vacancy circular for one Unreserved (UR) post of Head at its Centre for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME). This Centre conducts capacity-building courses and training for MSMEs, CPSEs and other stakeholders, and works to strengthen the MSME innovation ecosystem and improve public procurement practices. The post can be filled through deputation, contract, or direct recruitment, which means both serving government/PSU officers and experienced private-sector professionals can apply. Candidates with strong domain experience in MSME development, procurement policy, or capacity building should apply. IICA itself is spread across a 14-acre campus in Manesar with residential blocks, hostel facilities, a library, an auditorium and an in-house knowledge management system, and besides MSME training it also runs programmes in corporate law, insolvency, valuation, arbitration and mediation.

Who Can Apply?

For Direct Recruitment / Contract Basis:

• You need a postgraduate degree in the relevant field with at least 10 years of experience.

For Deputation Basis:

• You should be an officer holding an analogous post with adequate experience in the relevant field.
• OR you should have completed 5 years of service in Level 12 (7th CPC, pre-revised grade pay Rs. 7,600) with adequate experience in the relevant field.
• OR you should have completed 10 years of service in Level 11 (7th CPC, pre-revised grade pay Rs. 6,600) with adequate experience in the relevant field.

The Institute may fill this post through deputation (3 years), contract (1 year, extendable up to 5 years or till age 70), or direct recruitment, depending on the candidate pool.

Age Limit

• For deputation or direct recruitment, you should be up to 56 years old as on the closing date for applications.
• For a purely contractual appointment, you can apply up to 68 years of age.
• Age is reckoned as on the closing date, 7 September 2026.

Salary

• If hired on deputation or direct recruitment, you will get Level 13 of the Pay Matrix (Rs. 1,23,100 to Rs. 2,15,900 per month), plus DA, Transport Allowance, HRA or accommodation as per rules.
• If hired on a purely contractual basis, you will get a consolidated pay of Rs. 1,75,000 to Rs. 2,25,000 per month.
• Additional benefits like Leave Travel Concession (LTC) and medical facilities are available for deputation/direct recruitment appointees as per IICA rules.
• If you are appointed on deputation, your leave will be regulated as per IICA's leave policy for the duration of your tenure.

Selection Process

IICA will select the Head, Centre for MSME through the following stages:

1. Screening of Applications: IICA checks every application against the minimum educational qualifications and experience criteria for the post. Only shortlisted candidates move to the next stage.
2. Presentation and/or Interview: Shortlisted candidates present before, and/or are interviewed by, a duly constituted Selection Committee at a date and time to be communicated separately.

The Selection Committee's decision on eligibility, shortlisting criteria, equivalence of qualifications, and the mode of screening/selection is final and binding on all candidates. Candidates are advised to clearly mention all their qualifications and experience beyond the minimum criteria, since this can improve your chances at the shortlisting stage.
