DFCCIL Mechanical Executive Recruitment 2026: Overview

Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL), a Schedule 'A' public sector company under the Ministry of Railways, is re-employing retired Indian Railways staff for its Mechanical Department at the Ambala Unit. DFCCIL builds and runs the high-capacity freight corridors along the golden quadrilateral, starting with the Western (Mumbai-Delhi) and Eastern (Delhi-Kolkata) corridors.

This is not fresh recruitment. It is a walk-in drive to build a panel of retired railway employees who are called for work as and when DFCCIL needs them. If you retired from carriage and wagon (C&W), a workshop or a loco shed and still want to put your experience to use, this drive is meant for you.

Posts and Disciplines

The level you get in DFCCIL depends on the substantive pay level you retired from, as laid down in DFCCIL HR Policy Circular No. 28/2022:

• Senior Executive (E1), Mechanical: for those who retired at Level-07. SSEs and similar staff who reached Level-08 or Level-09 only through post upgradation are treated as Level-07 and can be engaged at E1.
• Executive (E0), Mechanical: for those who retired at Level-06 as Supervisors.
• Junior Executive (N5 to N7), Mechanical: for those who retired at Level-02 to Level-06 as technicians — Sr. Technicians and MCMs map to N7, Level 4-5 to N6, and Level 2-3 to N5.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Pay level counted: Only your substantive or regular pay level is considered. A higher level you got under MACP at retirement does not count.
• Health: DFCCIL gives preference to retired employees in good health.
• Tenure: You start on a one-year term, which DFCCIL may extend based on need and your performance. Either side can end it early with one month's notice.
• Pay: Fixed under DFCCIL's re-employment policy as a share of your last basic pay plus DA, with conveyance and mobile charges. No other allowance is paid.
• Leave: You earn two days of leave for every completed month. It has no CL/EL label and cannot be carried into the next calendar year.
• No regular job: Re-employment gives no right to regularisation in DFCCIL.
• Vigilance bar: You are not considered if you have a pending vigilance or CBI case, a major penalty, or repeated minor penalties or administrative actions from vigilance cases, as listed in Para 7.9 of the DFCCIL Vigilance Manual.
• Earlier DFCCIL service: If you worked in DFCCIL before and were terminated, separated or refused an extension, you will not be interviewed.
• Medical fitness: Selected candidates get an offer only after passing a medical check-up.
• Travel: No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview. Any dispute falls under the courts in Delhi.

Application Submission Notes

There is no online form. Walk in to the DFCCIL Ambala office, Old Railway Colony (near Anand Market), Ambala Cantt, Haryana 133001 between 10.00 am and 12.00 noon on the interview day.

Carry the application form, working experience sheet, verification form and vigilance self-declaration attached to the notice, filled in, with self-attested copies of your documents. DFCCIL officials check your papers first, and you are not allowed into the interview without your original PPO and Service Certificate.
