LUVAS Field AI Worker-cum-Data Recorder Recruitment 2026: Overview

Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (LUVAS), Hisar is hiring Field Artificial Insemination (A.I) Worker-cum-Data Recorders for its Department of Livestock Production Management. The posts sit under a research project called "Field Progeny Testing programme for Buffalo Improvement (Murrah)", led by principal investigator Dr. Dipin Chander Yadav.

This is a field job, not a desk job. The project runs in selected villages of Hisar district along the Hisar-Balsamand and Hisar-Chaudhariwas routes, so most of your working days will be spent with farmers and their Murrah buffaloes, with the rest at the department in Hisar.

You can qualify through any one of three routes: a MAITRI certificate from a DAHD-accredited AI training institute, a Veterinary and Livestock Development Diploma, or an AI training certificate from a government institute such as HVTI Hisar. Hands-on skill in insemination, pregnancy diagnosis, semen handling and record keeping will count in your favour.

Local candidates get preference — the notice gives priority to applicants from or near the selected project villages, so trained AI workers living along these routes are best placed to apply.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Nature of engagement: Purely contractual and co-terminus with the project. You will not become a regular university employee and will not get CPF/GPF or other regular-staff benefits.
• Termination: The university can end the engagement if your work or conduct is unsatisfactory (after giving you a hearing), or at any time if project funds run short.
• Resignation: You can leave by giving 15 days' written notice to the department.
• Pay depends on funds: Salary is released only when the funding agency sends the money.
• No absorption: When the project ends you are relieved, and the university is not responsible for adjusting you in any other post.
• Joining: You need a medical fitness certificate from the LUVAS CMO, must sign an agreement on Rs. 10 non-judicial stamp paper, and must report within 10 days of the order or the offer is withdrawn.
• Place of work: The selected villages and the department, or any other place the principal investigator deputes you to.
