IDBI Bank is hiring 3 Part Time Doctors on contract basis for its Corporate Office and Zonal Offices in Mumbai (Cuffe Parade), Navi Mumbai (Nerul), and Ahmedabad (CG Road). IDBI Bank Ltd. has released Advertisement No. 1 and 2/2026-27 inviting applications for engagement of Part Time Doctors on hourly basis for its dispensaries at Mumbai Cuffe Parade, Nerul (Navi Mumbai) and CG Road (Ahmedabad). Engagement is purely on contract for an initial period of 3 years (reviewable annually). The doctors will attend to the medical needs of bank staff, dependents and pensioners. Selection is by personal interview only — no written exam.

Working hours and timing will be specified at the time of engagement. Maximum 10 km distance from the bank office is preferred but not compulsory.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: MBBS or MD from a recognised University/College approved by the Medical Council of India in the Allopathic system of medicine. MD - Medicine holders are preferred.
• Experience (MBBS holders): Minimum 5 years as a General Practitioner reckoned as on 1 May 2026 from the date of registration with MCI/NMC/State Medical Council. Internship experience is not counted.
• Experience (PG/MD holders): Minimum 3 years as a General Practitioner reckoned as on 1 May 2026.
• Nationality: Indian citizen, or subject of Nepal/Bhutan, or Tibetan refugee (with eligibility certificate from Government of India).

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 67 years (as on 1 May 2026)
• No minimum age specified in the notification.

Remuneration

• Hourly pay: Rs. 1,000 per hour
• Travelling allowance: Rs. 2,000 per month
• Compounding fees (if applicable): Rs. 1,000 per month
• Leave: 20 days leave per year. You must arrange your own substitute during absence at your own cost.
• This is a contract engagement — no claim to regular employment or other employee benefits.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is by personal interview only:

1. Application Scrutiny: IDBI Bank will scrutinise all received applications for eligibility.
2. Personal Interview: Eligible candidates will be called before a selection panel constituted by the Bank.
3. Document Verification: Original qualification and experience certificates must be submitted at the time of joining.

• Visit the assigned office or quarters dispensary of IDBI Bank on all working days
• Attend to ailments of staff, dependents and pensioners — give advice, prescribe medicines and administer injections
• Issue sick leave certificates and countersign certificates produced by employees from other qualified medical practitioners
• Issue order forms on the bank's approved chemists for supply of special or costly drugs and injections
• Carry out prophylactic inoculation for typhoid and other diseases as needed
• Arrange hospital facilities for employees, spouses and children when required
• Scrutinise medical bills and hospitalisation bills of employees and pensioners
• Manage day-to-day functioning of the dispensary
