The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), an autonomous body under the Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, has released a vacancy circular for 47 Section Officer posts on deputation basis at its headquarters in New Delhi and 14 other ICMR institutes spread across the country. The deputation period is for one year, extendable based on requirement. Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have any degree with working knowledge of computers.
• Eligibility Route 1: You should be holding an analogous post as a Central/State Government, Autonomous Body, or PSU employee.
• Eligibility Route 2: You should be working as an Assistant in Pay Level 6 or 7 with a degree, computer knowledge, and at least 5 years of regular service in the grade.
• Departmental officers of ICMR are not eligible for this deputation post, and deputationists are not eligible for promotion.
• You can apply for more than one institute by clearly mentioning the relevant post codes in your application — but no change of institute or post code is allowed after submission.

Age Limit

• Your age should not exceed 56 years as on the last date of receipt of application.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a salary as per Pay Level-7 (Rs. 44,900 to Rs. 1,42,400 per month) of the 7th Central Pay Commission.
• You will also get DA, HRA, TA and other allowances as per Central Government rules.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in the following stages:

1. Screening of Applications: Your application and supporting documents will be checked against the eligibility criteria.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview (offline or online) at ICMR Headquarters, New Delhi. No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview.
