ICGEB Project Research Scientist-I Recruitment 2026

The International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB), New Delhi, is hiring one Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) for an ICMR-funded research project. This is a great opportunity for science graduates and PhD holders to work on a cutting-edge heart health research project in New Delhi.

The project is called "CardioWatch-India: Safeguarding Young Hearts Through Early Multi-Biomarker Precision Diagnostics for Myocardial Infarction and Cardiovascular Disease." This project focuses on detecting heart disease early using advanced laboratory techniques.

Who Can Apply

You need a MSc and/or PhD in Life Sciences, Chemistry, or a related subject.

Preferred profile:

• PhD with specialisation in metabolomics or lipidomics
• Experience in ICP-MS data acquisition
• Hands-on skill in preparing clinical samples for high-resolution LC-MS workflows
• Experience using metabolomics/lipidomics analysis tools such as MetaboAnalyst, MS-DIAL, LipidXplorer, or OpenMS

Note: Only Indian nationals can apply.

Salary

You will get Rs. 56,000 per month plus 30% House Rent Allowance (HRA).

Total pay in hand: Rs. 72,800 per month (as per ICMR scale).
