Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) Hospital Vapi Senior Resident Recruitment 2026 - 14 Posts

ESIC Hospital, Vapi (Gujarat), under the Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India, has invited applications for 14 Senior Resident (Contractual) posts across Orthopedics, ENT, Pediatrics, Surgery, OBG, Accident & Emergency, and General Medicine. This is a walk-in interview — there is no online application process, you simply need to report with your documents on the scheduled date. PG-qualified doctors get preference, but MBBS graduates with 2 years of relevant experience can also be considered if PG candidates are not available. Note: the number of posts may increase or decrease as per requirement, with the approval of the Medical Superintendent.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You need a PG Degree or PG Diploma in the concerned specialty, registered with the Medical Council.
• Alternative: If PG-qualified doctors are not available, MBBS graduates with at least 2 years of work experience (including 1 year in the concerned specialty from a government or private hospital, not a private clinic) will be considered. Preference goes to PG-qualified candidates.
• You must be registered with the Medical Council of India (or the applicable State Medical Council) before joining the post.
• If you are currently working in government service, you must bring a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from your department at the time of interview.

Age Limit

• Your age should not exceed 45 years as on the date of interview (17 July 2026).
• Age Relaxation: Available for SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates as per rules.

Salary

• Selected candidates with a PG Degree/Diploma get a fixed Rs. 1,35,129 per month, plus transport allowance with applicable DA on transport allowance.
• MBBS candidates without a Diploma/Degree have Rs. 2,812.50 deducted from this amount; those with only a Diploma have Rs. 1,687.50 deducted.
• This is a fixed, non-negotiable consolidated amount for the one-year contract period.

Selection Process (Walk-in Interview, No Written Exam)

Selection is done directly through a walk-in interview:

1. Document Verification: Report with your original certificates and one set of self-attested photocopies between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM on the interview date. Candidates reporting after 11:00 AM will not be considered.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates are interviewed by the selection board on the same day.

The decision of the selection board is final on all aspects of selection, and no further correspondence will be entertained. If no suitable candidate is available against a specific department, any other candidate present may be considered irrespective of category, for short-term engagement. If selected, you will need to agree to special terms and conditions for the one-year contract: private practice is not allowed, you must be available on call round the clock, and you will earn 2.5 days of leave for every month worked, on a pro-rata basis. You must also carry a professional indemnity insurance policy — a minimum sum assured of Rs. 30 lakh for Anesthesiologists, Cardiac Surgeons, Neuro Surgeons, and Plastic Surgeons; Rs. 20 lakh for General Surgeons, Gynecologists, and Obstetricians; and Rs. 10 lakh for Physicians, Dentists, Radiologists, and Pathologists. A copy of the insurance policy and premium receipt must be submitted within 7 days of joining. The selection is also subject to you providing a medical fitness certificate issued by the Medical Board at ESIC Hospital, Vapi.

How to Apply

1. Download and fill the Bio-Data form (Annexure A-1) from the ESIC website.
2. Attach a recent passport-size photograph and self-attested photocopies of your certificates (MBBS marksheets and degree, PG marksheets and degree, 10th certificate for date of birth, MCI/State registration, caste/EWS/PH certificate if applicable, and experience certificate if any).
3. If you are claiming reservation under OBC, EWS, or SC/ST category, make sure your certificate follows the prescribed government format — OBC certificates must confirm you do not belong to the creamy layer, and EWS certificates must follow the DoPT format dated 31 January 2019.
4. If you have 40% or more of a relevant disability, bring your original disability certificate from a government hospital to claim the PH category benefit.
5. Report in person to the Medical Superintendent, ESIC Hospital, Silvassa Road, Chanod, Vapi, District Valsad, Gujarat on 17 July 2026 between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM.
6. Carry your original documents along with one set of self-attested photocopies for verification.
7. If selected, you will need to submit a security deposit Demand Draft of Rs. 30,000 in favour of 'ESIC Fund A/c No.1', payable at Vapi.
