Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), under the Ministry of Labour & Employment, has invited applications for 1 Laboratory Technician post at the Multidisciplinary Research Unit (MRU) of ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Faridabad. This project is funded by the Department of Health Research (DHR), Government of India, and the appointment is purely contractual for one year, extendable based on project continuation and fund availability. Candidates with molecular biology and clinical laboratory experience are especially encouraged to apply.

This is a research-support role rather than a routine hospital lab posting — you would work directly under the MRU's Nodal Officer at the Faridabad campus, handling samples and instruments tied to an active DHR-funded research project.

Who Can Apply?

Option I:

• B.Sc in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) or BMLT from a recognized university, with at least 1 year of relevant experience in a clinical/research laboratory.

Option II:

• B.Sc in Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Microbiology (or related) with a 1-year full-time Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT/MLT), and 1 year of laboratory experience.

Option III:

• 12th Pass (Science) with a 2-year Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT/MLT), and 2 years of laboratory experience in a clinical or research setting.

Desirable: Proficiency in molecular biology and immunology techniques (PCR, RT-PCR, ELISA, electrophoresis), knowledge of lab quality assurance (QA/QC) and biosafety, basic computer skills, and prior experience in ICMR/DHR-funded projects.

Age Limit

• You should be up to 30 years old as on the last date of application.
• Age Relaxation: As per Government of India rules for reserved categories.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a monthly salary of Rs. 20,000 plus HRA as admissible.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is based on a single stage:

1. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. The date, time and venue will be notified on the ESIC website and by email.
