ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Indore is hiring for 45 teaching faculty and Senior Resident posts on a contract basis. Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) Teaching Faculty Recruitment 2026 - 45 Posts

The Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), under the Ministry of Labour & Employment, has released Advertisement No. 05 of 2026 to fill 45 posts of teaching faculty and Senior Residents at ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Indore (Madhya Pradesh). The engagement is on a contract basis for 1 year, extendable up to 3 years based on your performance. Retired and working professors may also apply for the eligible posts. These vacancies include backlog, unfilled and carry-forward posts, so unreserved candidates can also apply for the reserved posts mentioned in the notice.

The posts are spread across 15 departments: Accident & Emergency, Anatomy, Chest, Dermatology, Forensic Medicine, General Medicine, ICU, Microbiology, Ophthalmology, Paediatrics, Pathology, Pharmacology, Physiology, Psychiatry and Radiology.

Who Can Apply?

For Professor / Associate Professor / Assistant Professor:

• Qualification: MD / MS / DNB in the relevant specialty with the teaching and clinical experience required for the post, as per National Medical Commission (NMC) norms.
• Registration: You must hold an up-to-date medical registration with the NMC / State Medical Council for all your post-MBBS (MD / MS / DNB) qualifications.

For Senior Resident:

• Qualification: Postgraduate medical degree (MD / MS / DNB) in the concerned specialty as per NMC guidelines, with valid medical registration.

Educational qualifications are as per National Medical Commission (erstwhile MCI) guidelines. All qualifications are counted as on 14 July 2026.

Age Limit

• For teaching faculty (Professor / Associate Professor / Assistant Professor): age should not exceed 69 years as on 14 July 2026.
• For Senior Resident: age should not exceed 45 years as on 14 July 2026, with age relaxation as per Government of India norms.
• The maximum tenure of engagement is till 70 years of age for teaching faculty.

Salary

• Professor: Pay Level 13, fixed basic pay of Rs. 1,23,100 per month.
• Associate Professor: Pay Level 12, fixed basic pay of Rs. 78,800 per month.
• Assistant Professor: Pay Level 11, fixed basic pay of Rs. 67,700 per month.
• Senior Resident: Pay Level 11, fixed basic pay of Rs. 67,700 per month.
• You will also get NPA @20% (wherever applicable), DA @60%, HRA @20% and TA as per 7th CPC rules.

Application Fee

• All other categories (General / OBC / EWS): Rs. 500
• SC / ST / ESIC Regular Employees / Defence Ex-servicemen / PH candidates: No fee
• Payment mode: Demand Draft in favour of ESI Fund A/c No.-1, payable at Indore. The fee is non-refundable.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is based on your academic record and interview performance:

1. Scrutiny of Application & Document Verification: Your qualification, experience, category and age are checked against the advertisement.
2. Interview: Held offline on 17 July 2026 from 10:00 AM at ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Indore. Selection is made on the basis of your academic credentials and performance before the Selection Board.

No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview. The offer of appointment is sent by email only.

• Teach undergraduate and postgraduate medical students in your department.
• Provide clinical care and treatment to patients at ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Indore.
• Supervise and guide junior doctors, residents and interns during ward rounds and duties.
• Conduct academic sessions, clinical demonstrations and research work in your specialty.
• Maintain proper patient records and follow hospital protocols and NMC guidelines.
• Mark daily attendance manually and on the Aadhaar Enabled Biometric Attendance System (AEBAS).
• Handle emergency duties and departmental responsibilities as assigned by the head of department.
